This hotel is incredibly thoughtful, beyond words! It's simply amazing, truly exceptional service. I initially chose to book the Mengjing Xiyue Hotel because I saw many recommendations on Xiaohongshu, especially praising the hotel's rooftop and balconies, which looked beautiful. I never expected that after actually checking in, I'd find the hotel's service and attention to detail even more surprising! The day before check-in, the hotel staff proactively contacted us to ask about our room setup preferences for the romantic room type. Even before checking in, I could already feel their immense dedication. The hygiene also made me feel very secure! The elevator, rooms, and lobby are disinfected daily, and the towels and amenities in the room are individually packaged. Both the room and bathroom were kept exceptionally clean. For guests who value cleanliness and hygiene, this truly provides great peace of mind. What touched me the most were these thoughtful little details! My feet were aching from days of shopping, even a bit inflamed, so I went to the front desk to ask the staff if they had a foot bath. To my surprise, the staff immediately sent a foot bath to my room, and even included herbal sachets for soaking my feet! My hands were chapped and cracking due to the dry weather, so I also inquired at the front desk. The staff thoughtfully provided hand cream. These are services that are not 'mandatory,' yet they were willing to proactively help. It truly makes you feel: this hotel genuinely cares about its guests' experiences. Breakfast is also served individually, and the portions are incredibly generous! And it's not just the quantity; the taste is also excellent, especially the tomato and egg noodle soup – I've truly loved it these past few days! In the lobby, there's also a popcorn machine + various floral teas that you can mix and match! You can enjoy freshly popped popcorn every day~ You can also choose your own floral tea, put it in a small paper cup, and take it back to your room to sip while watching TV. And every evening, there are delicious 'goodnight' desserts prepared. After a long day of exploring, returning to the hotel and finding these little surprises waiting for you is truly wonderful. I've stayed in many hotels, but this is the first time I've felt: 'I had such a happy stay, I almost didn't want to check out.' It's not because the hotel is luxurious, but because every small detail makes you feel their immense dedication. If I ever come back to Kunming, I will definitely stay here again! I genuinely loved this stay experience~ Thank you, Mengjing Xiyue, for adding another warm memory to this trip. P.S.: I hope the hotel can consider adding one or two more washing machines and dryers. Because sometimes in the evening, when washing clothes, there are quite a few guests using them, and you have to wait for quite a while.

The room. Was a good size for 3adults n 1 child. But there's no fridge in the room. Minibar. Was a comfortable stay for 1 nite and a good location to the markets and shopping. Since its located on the pedestrian road, no taxi are allowed to drop you at the front of the hotel. But its about 5 mins walk to the hotel frondrop off location. Beds are comfortable overall.

Really enjoyed my stay here! Great location and the service is very attentive. It was very easy to communicate with the staff over WeChat both in advance of and during the stay. Value for money is fantastic!

Another cute, hidden gem. Tucked away in Nanping Pedestrian Street, so they come out to meet you after taxi drops you off and help you and your luggage in. I had booked this as a surprise ending to our 5th Anniversary, 30 days through China trip. They did a wonderful job specializing the room. The bed art was so cute that we joked about leaving it and sleeping on the sofa! The only thing missing is a mini fridge. Everything else in the room was just perfect. More than enough room for 2 people. Easy walking distance to food and shopping. In fact, across the street there is a huge shopping complex with many malls. The front desk staff did a wonderful job of trying to help us. One of the wheels on our suitcase broke on the way. He first called around to find a repair shop. Then called a luggage vendor in the mall to see if anyone could help. This was another location that had a beautiful rooftop location where we could sit, play cards, enjoy the night lights while doing our laundry. Unfortunately, we only spent 1 night here, but we would return again to do more exploring.

My stay here was excellent. The room was clean and fresh, with no unpleasant odors, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient with the check-in process. The hotel's location is convenient for getting around, and the environment is quiet. Overall, it offers great value for money, and I had a very pleasant stay.

Frontdesk services were good and very responsive to our messages in Wechat before and during the trip.  The room doesn’t come with mini fridge hence making cold beverages purchases inconvenient. We need to leave it with the staff to store in their fridge.  The dryer seems to be faulty as it didn’t dry the clothes completely and there’s slight stench on our clothes after putting in dryer.  Nice and clean room.

A small yet charming hotel with an excellent location, just a ten-minute walk from the Old Town. The staff added me on WeChat in advance, helped with taxi directions, and assisted with luggage. The room has an antique charm and is well-equipped. The rooftop terrace, with its succulent garden, offers a rare pleasant view in the bustling city center. Breakfast offers various set menus, including different kinds of rice noodles, as well as congee and pasta.

The room environment was exactly as pictured and impeccably clean. The bathtub came with a disposable liner and dried rose petals. Since I stayed for two nights, I used fresh petals from a lei I bought during the day for a second bath. There's a small terrace on the hotel's upper floor, and it's conveniently located right next to the Jinma Biji Archway. Transportation is easy, and the surrounding alleys have plenty of restaurants and are quite charming. The hotel breakfast is served à la carte; if you let them know five minutes in advance, your rice noodles will be ready by the time you come downstairs, and the portion is generous. The front desk staff and servers were all very welcoming and quickly helped with any issues. After a tiring day of sightseeing, they even took my clothes to wash and dried them before returning them – the service was absolutely top-notch. I was very satisfied with this stay!

Great location, easy to access the iconic buildings. Great staff very friendly, prompt response to all the questions. Free breakfast with a great variety of food selections, staff helped us to book the car to train station and helped with the luggage. Family with two kids had a great time here, strongly recommend. Even my dirty clothes left in the sink has been washed by the friendly staff.

We had a very pleasant stay here. The location is excellent, with Nanping Walking Street just a short and easy walk away. It was very convenient for exploring the city, shopping, and finding places to eat. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated. Overall, a great place to stay in Kunming!

Location: The hotel is situated on a pedestrian street, so for taxis, you'll need to pinpoint 'Shulin Street' at the entrance. There are quite a few cobblestone paths, but thankfully, there were always lovely staff members (both guys and girls) to help with luggage during check-in and check-out, which was a great touch. Room: My room was on the second floor, right across from the kitchen. In the mornings, when they were cooking breakfast, I could hear the clanging of utensils and smell cooking fumes – it definitely wasn't soundproof. Cleanliness: The hotel's cleanliness was good. Complimentary Evening Sweet Soup: They offered a sweet soup every day, like milk and peach gum. Overall, it was a nice perk.

The location is unbeatable, super central and within walking distance to many attractions. The lady at the hotel was also really nice and patient. The hotel itself was very clean, and my kids loved the loft room. The rooftop garden is beautiful, but unfortunately, it's not accessible if it rains. Breakfast was absolutely amazing! The only downside is that it's a bit old.
