Bayview Gardens - Hotel and Viewpoint

The hotel has an amazing view of the bay, and it is relaxing to stand on the balcony to see the sea, ships, hills and mountains, particularly during sunrise and sunset. The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. It also has a nice swimming pool. The hot water supply of the shower could sometimes be unstable but it was manageable. This hotel is not for people with mobility issues - because it’s on a hill with stone steps. It requires a bit of strength to haul the luggages up to the room. It could also be quite noisy at night - not from the traffic, but the DJs playing loud dancing music in late evenings, perhaps the open air clubs in the near distance. When we arrived upon check-in, the receptionist advised that they couldn’t find our booking, even we presented our deposit payment record and email exchanges. After waiting for a while, they acknowledged that their staff forgot to put our booking into their system and offered to refund the deposit and helped us find another hotel because the hotel was fully booked already - obviously, we disagreed and refused. In the end, they found a room in the hotel for us to stay - not a major problem but it took 30 mins to solve this. Overall, the stay at the hotel was not too bad - but if you have high standards of services, this hotel is not your choice because the staff is less trained (but friendly) and the management system is not as rigid.

Set on the hill above the bay, this hotels views are second to none, very friendly staff and breakfast served on your balcony each morning was an amazing way to start the day. The quality of the rooms was excellent, nice pool area as well. There are quite a few steps but staff were always more than helpful with any luggage.

What a fabulous hotel this is. Beautiful pool just loved our harbourmaster view room with own private balcony. It is on a side of a steep hill so if your walking impared this might not be the place for you. We had room 9 next to the pool loved it! huge bedroom with king size bed big bathroom great water pressure. Breakfast was good having it on our balcony with a fabulous vista. Staff friendly. Manager is very friendly with a good comand of english. We put our clothes in to their laundry was back the next day. $2 kg cheap enough. Smallish eating area undercover next to pool can order snacks coffee etc cold drinks etc..We highly recommend this hotel. Not for children under 4yrs old

The hotel is located in an up hill therefore it has very good view of the harbour. However it is also next to an upward road where the motor bikes are making huge noises to climb up the road - even earplugs won't help! There is literally no Wifi in the room, and the mobile phone signal is also bad in its location. If you like to use mobile Internet during your stay it will be a big problem.

Spent 8 nights. Room and staff were great.Bedding & towels not changed as per the information in the room. Breakfast delivered to the room every day, good but always cold by the time it arrived. I specifically asked about the WiFi before making the booking and was assured by the owner that there would be no problems. It was very important hence asking...... but unfortunately I was not told the truth, the WiFi in the room was non existent most of the time.

This hotel has an amazing infinity pool with a view that looks out over the harbor in Labuan Bajo. Room was spacious with a beautiful balcony, AC worked well, and bed was comfortable. Staff overall were very nice and kindly prepared a takeaway breakfast on the day when we had an early pick up for a tour. However... there was no hot water in our shower the entire time we stayed despite it working perfectly fine in our sink. We asked repeatedly for this to be addressed. A maintenance person was sent to check it out but he left without fixing anything. Our follow up requests to fix the shower were ignored. In addition, there was no wifi in our guest room whatsoever - you had to be in the communal areas to access it. Overall an okay stay but some maintenance and communication issues need to be addressed to improve the comfort of the stay.
