Our stay at the Alpen Resort was exceptional, particularly in the new section of the hotel. We were treated to breathtaking views of the mountains, making our experience truly memorable. Despite a booking error, Laura at the reception graciously resolved the issue, showcasing exemplary customer service. She was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. In the restaurant, we were exceptionally well taken care of by Ida. The infinity pool, overlooking the snow-capped mountains, was nothing short of magical. The spa facilities were exquisite, offering a serene wellness experience. Another highlight was the ample parking space and the super comfortable mattresses in the rooms. However, it was slightly disappointing that children had to relocate to the kids' pool at 6 p.m. While adults seek tranquility, perhaps offering alternative options within the wellness area could enhance the experience. Additionally, it would be convenient to have a secure storage option for ski equipment. Overall, our stay was fantastic, and we believe that once the hotel undergoes complete renovation, it will exceed expectations even further.

We booked a double room half board. When we arrived our room was not available as it was occupied . The receptionist said he was upgrading us to a bigger room. In fact the room was less accessible, had no balcony, was the same size as the original room but had bunk beds squeezed in which we didn’t need as we were a couple and they took up all available space. When we complained and looked for our original booked room he said we couldn’t have it and looked for €60 per night extra to change.

For those of you, who are not keen on large hotels - look elsewhere. The hotel is huuuuge, this is mainly due to the connection with the bungalows. I have (completely) consciously stayed in the "old" part, which is connected with the main building via some corridors. We had a room in part, which I can only describe as a tower, as the only way to get there was via a curved staircase. This part is completely not accessible for people in wheelchairs (or even following an injury on the slope). Not sure this is obvious during booking, as we have booked with a travel agency. You also need to be aware of the distance from parking, lobby, ski room etc. It is a trek! So do make sure you grab everything and triple check, as going back will cost you lots of time. Our room was tiny. Although we knew what we were getting from the pics, the reality hit us hard. I think it's because of the layout of the room, the bed being positioned across, making it difficult for two people to walk past each other. The decor is very old and worn, the mattresses are very hard and certainly didn't give me the rest I required. Bathroom, same, is tiny and we actually had to resort to storing our empty suitcases in the bathroom, as otherwise there was no place to put them in the room. That's about the negatives. The lobby area however is lovely, spacious and a pleasure to be in. The food served there is amazing, drinks are ok and I have absolutely loved it. Food served in the restaurant, whether you are in the self-service area or catered for, is absolutely gorgeous. There are the usual salad bars, charcuterie stuff, but also a live-cooking area, I am pretty sure everyone will be pleased, as we travelled with an incredibly fussy 7 year old. But the cherry on the cake is the spa area! It is new, it is lovely, it is functional. The only thing I could complain about is the people, but that's not the hotel's fault, rather poor manners of the guests. It was amazing to spend time alone on the outside terrace in a hot tub, enjoying the night time grooming of the pistes just opposite the hotel. Same from the infinity pool. In terms of location, I think it is OK. You can ski in from the nearby slope, but that is only accessible from the Mottolino ski area. Other than that you have a few minutes to drive, or take the bus - the ski bus stop is just outside the hotel, but haven't used it. All in all, I would definitely recommend, but if you can, try to book in the renewed part of the hotel. It is pricey though, so all depends on your budget.

All the staff were first class, from reception to room cleaners. The food however was not. It was often just luke warm and I appreciate that with a very large restaurant and buffet style food, keeping food hot can be tricky, but there are very simple solutions available. The quality and selection of food was generally very good. The hotel itself was very well kept and our rooms cleaned every day. The rooms we were allocated were part of an extension to the main hotel and were called " chalets" and to access them involved going two floors up in the lifts, then along series of corridors then climbing down two flights of spiral stairs to the room. Getting down and up these two flights was very difficult carrying a 20 Kg suitcase. It appeared that, in the event of a fire, the nearest fire escape was two floors up, a very poor design.

Best place for a ski vacation. Bartenders from the lobby - wonderful people and great drinks, thanks a lot, Raffaele! The spa and facilities are incredible, so useful after the ski days. Friendly personnel, clean rooms, great service. My seventh year here and looking forward to the next ones.

My recent stay at ALPEN RESORT was nothing short of bliss. The staff's warmth and attentiveness elevated my experience from the moment I arrived. Their genuine friendliness and willingness to assist made me feel truly welcomed. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the stunning infinity pool and spa. The pool, offering breathtaking views, became my haven of relaxation. The serene atmosphere coupled with attentive poolside service created an ambiance of tranquility. The spa, with its rejuvenating treatments and skilled therapists, provided a perfect escape from the hustle of everyday life. If you seek a retreat where hospitality meets luxury, this is undoubtedly the place to be. My stay was an unforgettable blend of comfort, beauty, and exceptional service.

Excellent hotel in the best skiplace of Italy. Good location, nice rooms. The dinner is excellent but the breakfast is not varied. Best waiter in the pool bar was Jean Luca. He is kind and clever to everybody. He makes a good mood in every time.
