Afternoon tea was an experience not to be missed. The location is stunning, the building fabulous and a complete joy to experience and the hosts could not do more for us. The tea was so filling we could not eat it all. A thoroughly enjoyable time.

Lovely afternoon tea. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome. Told about history of house and area. Very knowledgable. Décor beautiful. They’ve really done an excellent job. Very quirky. Toilets are fab. Attention to detail was tiptop. Afternoon tea was the best I’ve had. Thankyou and good luck with the rest of the refurb. You deserve to do well. Xx

The new owners have fully renovated this previously very dated BnB, and it is stunning ! The building is fascinating and beautifully presented, the owners were the perfect hosts and the Cream Tea was amazing! What a treat! Lovely walking in the woods next door as well if you feel the need to earn all those calories before you eat!

A lovely little hotel run by the owners. The interior is quirkly, I really liked it. I had a comfortable quiet room and slept very well. I did not have dinner as the chef was not on site so wandered down to the village where I ate at a very nice pub. Breakfast was tasty, with good quality ingredients. I don't visit the area often but would not hesitate to return to this individual and charming hotel.

Visited on Valentine's and were greeted very warmly. A beautiful setting and has been very tastefully renovated. The food was fantastic and the fillet of beef exceptional, cooked to perfection as ordered. All in all it was a very memorable evening and we will be returning.

Set up on the hillside, on the outskirts of Newtown, this beautiful Hall has captured the essence of being a country house whilst feeling like home. The Hall is beautifully decorated with leather furniture, paintings and homely attire. The rooms are well stocked, warm and if your looking for a good nights sleep, the beds will ensure you will achieve this. The breakfast is both continental along with a full English, with lots of toast, tea and coffee freshly made. The afternoon teas are one of the best I've had and I would say even the ritz afternoon tea couldn't do better! Lots to choose from, sandwiches freshly made with scones, little cakes and bite size quiches. Plenty of parking with the ruins of Dolforwyn Castle a good walk away to blow those cobwebs away. If you are looking for a good value for money stay, with a warm welcome and clean facilities, Ken and Sarah who acquired the Hall round about a year ago will offer this. I would highly Recommend here.
