Premier Inn Caernarfon

It was a good stay

We’ve stayed in several Premier Inns and this one certainly did not disappoint. The location is really good - the town centre is a pleasant 5 minute stroll along the quayside and there is ample car parking nearby. Our room was spotlessly clean with everything we needed. As usual staff were really helpful and welcoming, even recommending a local taxi firm for us. The adjoining restaurant had a beautiful setting right on Victoria Dock and served tasty and good value breakfasts and main meals.

Three night stay with my daughter that she paid for as a gift of a long weekend away. Good location but the hotel in general is very tired looking. The room was spacious enough although the carpets needed a good clean. The bathroom was awful. Skirting board falling off the wall, damp smell, toilet didn’t flush properly, loads of mastic on the floor to try and repair it but coming away. Bath was stained and marked in various places. Old style room that is in desperate need of updating. The restaurant next door didn’t care about lack of breakfast items or guests waiting to be seated, everyone was complaining so we left.

Chad and Stephen were great upon check in, were friendly and nothing was too much for them. They even managed to get us an early check in after our very long car journey. Comfy bed, spacious room and very clean. Not far from shops, parking and the harbour.

No grab rails in bathroom, wobbly toilet seat and very little room to manoeuvre around the toilet. Couldn't shower all weekdue to lack of grab rails in very high bath. Small bed. All in all totally unsuitable

On arrival I was met by James on reception!! Well some training on reception would go down well for starters here. To be spoken to politely as well very disappointed when double checking how to use my door key the response was that's what I said isn't it !!!! I required an extra towel which also seemed to be an effort! And moaning at other staff members your attention should be on the customer if I'm not mistaken!!!!! The rest of the stay was great even though it was for work!! I arrived back late from work and I had an issues with the tap on my bath which was promptly fixed by Phill. My room was serviced to high standard by Gabrielle who was very friendly thank you. so from the negatives the positives balanced it out

Exceptional hotel that accommodated our short notice booking when my husband was taken to the nearby hospital. The workers were nothing but understanding from start to finish and we were comforted by the care and attention given by them. My sister suffered an epileptic attack as we booked in and Elen on reception went to our room to make sure all the lights were switched off before we went in and made sure we got there safely. The gentleman, who we didn’t catch his name, on the desk the next day was also very pleasant. We hope to return under better circumstances.

On arrival at the hotel,I explained my wife had very recently broken her right arm,and asked if it was possible to have a room close to the lift exit,both the ladies on the desk set to,and changed our room to give us a room on the ground floor, adjacent to the reception.They where also very kind in asking if we had any other needs.
