Marbella Club Hotel

As usual the Marbella Club does not disappoint. The quality of the staff, food and accommodation is amazing but it does therefore come at a price. The staff are professional, polite, friendly and efficient and all work well as a team. The location is fantastic and you could stay on site all day and not need to move - from the amazing breakfast to evening drinks with live music in Rudi’s and everything in between. As a couple, sometimes the number of young children around the pool can be distracting if you are looking for a quiet place to read your book or go for a swim, but that aside, it is still a top class hotel.

Marbella Club always delivers an experience better than the last with unexpected attention to detail and a warm welcome which feels like coming home as welcome guest. Particular thanks to Victor the head of fitness, Manuela who knows every guest by name, and Julian who understands the magic that makes guests return time after time

This hotel is first class all the way! Outstanding service, the best kids club I have ever seen with so much to offer, beautiful views and amazing restaurants. Considering it was raining heavily during our stay, it was off season and the spa was being refurbished (which I would have loved to try!), I cannot fault this place in any way. Staff are professional, friendly, always smiling and helpful. Guest Relations, in particular, Mrs Martinez and Mr Guerrero, are outstanding and truly understand what customer experience and service is all about. Neveen from Kids’ Club has also been amazing. I wish I could have thanked them all again in person! There is thoughtfulness and pride in every detail, and it is also classy but not pretentious. This place feels like paradise, contemporary and not dated, and you’re transported into a glamorous world of sun, sophistication and relaxation. The teams will go out of their way to make your stay most comfortable. We were gifted a delicious complimentary birthday cake and truly enjoyed the stunning Imperial Suite with breathtaking views. Board walk was fun and the beach is pretty much at your doorstep. If you have kids, they will be well taken care of. It’s such a family friendly placed and our son loved it. We had a minor issue with our room and guest relations dealt with it professionally, quickly and satisfactory. As mentioned, they truly understand customer service! Kudos to all staff at MC and massive thank you to everyone for making our stay so memorable and my birthday so special.

We have stayed here twice in the past 4 months (Oct 2024 and Jan 2025). The hotel itself, grounds, pool, and beach areas are stunning and just lovely places to be. There are so many sustainability initiatives around the hotel that I adore. The pizzas at el patio (especially) are great and most staff friendly and helpful. The pools are heated, but we found them still to be a little cold most the time, so we did't actually get to swim, but I do recognise that is our opinion and it would depend what climate you are coming from. One thing we would say is, we were there over Jan 6th, which we (now) understand is a important Three Kings celebration for Spain, however for those staying (apart from a Brunch), there was no way of really knowing what was going on if you were not familiar with Spanish culture. I note there was a email sent on Nov 18th, with a small part saying there would a lunch at the beach club for eur 80 pp, however absolutely no context as to why. The Three Kings holiday was not noted at check, nor that it would be a public holiday, and we neither asked if we would like to book the brunch. When I realized about the public holiday, I asked if there would be any special activities for the day for guests, I was told quite bluntly by a lady at the concierge desk there are "the wellness activities"... which were also there last time we stayed, and had happened for the day. With most things understandably closed, we ended up sitting in our room (which might had booked a villa had we known frankly, had we known we end up spending so much time in it) watching an TV program for the evening. Kindly, as someone having worked in the hotel industry.. a hotel (at this high level) could have thought about arranging something, or just a small way to include or introduce the in house guests to the Spanish tradition of the Three Kings celebrations, other than a paid for brunch. Frankly, we felt left and a bit unwelcome. Both times we stayed in junior suite categories and they were comfortable, with elegant furnishings, ideal for two people. During both stays we had a few other issues arise which is why the rating is a 4/5...although it should really be a 5 (and would have been if there were no issues). However, we would to say thank you to Antonio from concierge in particular, both for his help in arranging events etc, and sorting issues, and Valeria from guest experiences who went above and beyond in service recovery. We love Marbella and hope to come back to the Club.

Very very average stay for very the top tier prices they charge. You go in expecting the service and experience you would get at a four seasons, one and only, Aman, Etc but that is not what you are getting here even though that is the price you are paying. The service is not attentive and feels very rushed, to the point they take plates away at meals when you aren’t even done with them. You have to have reservations for lunch at the resort everyday.. I have never stayed at a 5 star resort where I have had to had a lunch recreation. This was insanity to me. They charged us for water while laying on the beach which I have always have included with my stay at any resort. On top of all that, on our last morning we pre ordered breakfast before our long day of intentional travel back to the US and they forgot about it. I called to check on it and they didn’t have the order and had lost it. Had no apology from anyone. At that point we did not have time to do anything about it and had to just suck it up and head to the airport hungry. Next time in Marbella I would take my business somewhere else. This is not worth the price they are charging. The rooms are nice but the service is just not there, I understand the hotel was busy but that does not excuse the lack of guest experience.
