This is our 3rd stay at the Elisabeth Hotel and there is nowhere better to stay in Mayrhofen. We had authentic deluxe rooms which were clean, quiet and comfortable. Last year we were in the new rooms/extension but we loved both just as much. The family and staff working at the Elisabeth are so professional in every way and go over and above to make sure your stay is perfect. Breakfast is served from 7am and has many options for hungry skiers with lovely fresh produce. Afternoon tea is served from 3-5 and again has lots of choice. Dinner is exceptional; with several courses every night and a Gala Dinner on our last night. The wine cellar is extensive and a good range for all budgets. No one went hungry in our party! All the waiting staff are very attentive and slick with the service but a special mention has to go to Bolash who has looked after us for 3 years. The Spa is a real treat and a great new addition this year is the large outdoor jacuzzi which has some powerful jets for shoulders and backs (note it is only open from 3.30-6.30). It is nice to find an Austrian hotel with both textile and non-textile saunas and steam rooms. Everything is kept clean and well maintained. The water beds in the relaxation room are a wonderful place to unwind and relax. Massages and treatments are available to book but do this in advance to avoid disappointment as they are popular. The communal areas in the hotel are spacious and varied. The hotel is well located for skiing. Although not right by the main lift, the bus stop is just outside the hotel so you can catch the ‘E’ bus in the morning to the lift and the ‘B” bus back to the hotel. Both buses take less than 5 minutes or it’s a brisk 10 minute walk. The hotel is also very close to the main train station giving easy access to other ski resorts which are all covered on the lift pass. The hotel is in a quiet location, but just a short walk from the main street in the town. All in all a 5* rating from our group for this wonderful hotel. We will be returning! Thank you.

My wife and I had been to this hotel twice previously and always found it to be a nice, clean , friendly hotel. The rooms were always clean and comfortable. On this occasion we made a reservation for two weeks through Althams a local travel agent. Not questioning the reservation because we had been before, but it seems we were making the reservation for an 'authentic Austrian' room - we thought all rooms would be of a high standard befitting of a 'premium private retreat'. The holiday company was 'Inghams Walking'.The room was tiny and 'tired' not even a stool or chair to sit on. We asked to change the room at the front desk and we were informed that we got the room that the travel company had paid for, (almost £5000) and we could 'upgrade' if we wanted for an extra 20 Euros a night - plus resort fee. We declined feeling that we had already paid enough and we felt intimidated. We did however throughout our stay take photographs of the stained mattress, yellow stained duvets, having had to sleep on the guest bathrobes, blood on one of the duvet covers, holes in the net curtain. The travel company, the travel agent and the credit card company stated we were to blame for the spoiled holiday because we could have paid extra and got a better room. Please be aware no-one will ever take responsibility Mayrhofen is a beautiful place but would not recommend the Hotel Elisabeth especially the so called 'authentic rooms'. We're sure that the Austrian Tourism Board will be appalled.

Have stayed in Austria on a number of occasions but this was the first time at Mayrhofen. We were upgraded to a suite which was extremely spacious and had an enormous balcony. Very comfortable bed together with bath and separate shower. As many reviewers comment the food was exceptional and although we are not vegan they seemed to cater well for those who are. The choice at breakfast was beyond belief. You are allocated a table on your first day and keep it for the remainder of your stay. There is complimentary food in the afternoon between 3 and 5 but drinks are extra. Service and food in the evenings was faultless and Julianna was kept busy filling the wine glasses and supervising proceedings. I would just like to mention that it would be helpful if a member of staff accompanied guests to their room on first arrival to point out things like the electric shutters on the outside of windows (there is no room directory). Facilities in the hotel are excellent and all staff are eager to assist. The hotel is quiet and well positioned. A very enjoyable stay, Thankyou.

Superb hotel on all counts. Nothing is too much trouble with immaculate, friendly and unobtrusive service. All in wonderfully clean, luxury surroundings, with superb spa facilities. In addition there’s the fantastic menu, providing a really good range of choice, great quality food, and all served in really sensible portion sizes. The room was wonderful (we were in a suite). We had lots of space, a beautiful balcony with views of the mountains, an amazing bathroom and a really comfortable bed. Only downside is no air conditioning but the shutters and big doors allowed a welcome breeze to pass through the room at night keeping us cool. We’ll definitely be back! We love it here.

OMG, this hotel is definitely one of the nicest we have stayed in. We upgraded to a premium room and it was definitely worth it. We stayed here for a week whilst on an Inghams Walking Holiday. The food is amazing, we were never disappointed. All staff are extremely well trained, very friendly whilst remaining professional. We only had one criticism and that is, there is no air conditioning and the nights get extremely warm. Part way through the week I did request a fan from reception and when we returned from a walk, there was a fan in our room. I would suggest that a fan needs to be supplied in every room in the summer months. We will definitely return to this hotel.

We were upgraded to a premium suite, which offered more than enough space for 2 people. The rooms are modern, yet cosy. A large bathroom with a bathtub, a separate dressing room, 2 TVs, a large couch and a balcony with a view to the garden. We do enjoy a coffee in the morning, but there was no coffee machine, not even an electric kettle. When asked, we were told that only the penthouse suite has got one. They then offered we could get one as well and a few capsules for 25,- EUR. Frankly, I would expect this to be complimentary in a hotel of this category. We had booked half board and the dinner (5 courses) was delicious and more than sufficient. The breakfast buffet had a varied offer from “omelette-to-order” to various fresh juices, salmon, etc. although the quality of the food was not consistently satisfactory. Bread rolls were not crispy and the bread, waffles and pancakes were dry. Selection of cheese and cold meat limited. The waiters were super attentive and friendly though. The spa area also deserves a positive mention, it is very spacious and has all the treatments you could wish for. The indoor pool is heated but to cool off you can walk to the sister hotel across the street. They offer a natural pool which is free to use for the guests of the Elisabeth Hotel as well. However, there is some construction work happening now, so it’s a bit noisy. The biggest drawback for us was the lack of air conditioning in the house. The room heats up so much in summer that you can hardly stay there, despite airing in the morning and closing windows and blinds during the day. We were immediately provided with a fan, but it is loud and only blows in one direction. In the evenings the dining rooms were simply too warm. You could hardly enjoy the (very good) food and had to shower again later. We felt sorry for the waiters. When asked about this on departure, the receptionist just grumbled annoyed: “We have no air conditioning” and then looked down without further comment/apology. Since there was only a very limited number of seatings outside, the hotel decided that all had to eat in the restaurant. Except for the afternoon snacks, which could be taken outside. You are allocated a fixed table for your entire stay. This is incomprehensible since this is an adults-only hotel and as an adult, I don’t want to be patronised. On the positive side, we met a nice couple next to our table and enjoyed good dinner conversations while we were there. All in all, we missed the warm hospitality that you would expect of a hotel, especially of this category, but the rooms, food and other features make up for this. Still room for improvement though to make it a perfect stay.

Darüber hinaus an Müsli & Cerealien. Frischem Obst. Milchvarianten. Joghurt, etc. Herrlich! Was uns gefehlt hat?
