Mission Beach Hideaway Holiday Village

The only thing this place has going for it is it’s central location to the beach and restaurants. If neither of these things are a priority I would stay somewhere else Sites are small and you are crammed in, (even when plenty of other sites are available) . Could be very difficult manoeuvre 4wd and vans . Staff are extremely rude and difficult to deal with. If they want to work corporate office hours don’t work in tourism! There is a $20 deposit required for co aux cable and $20 deposit required for use of facilities. This will be returned upon check out. If checking out before 8am this must be done the day before and you are given another key to use and return. Makes no sense as the keys are blanks …. Was told this was to ensure their belongings are returned and that they know when you check out. Keys aren’t numbered. This is just money raising.

Nice cabins in a superb location which we enjoyed on our trek north so much that we stayed for a couple of nights on the return trek south a week later and it was in reasonable proximity to the Iconic Paronella Park & The Australian Sugar Heritage Centre.

Very disappointing stay. Sites are very small and amenities very underwhelming given the price. I found the proprietor very difficult to deal with to the point of being borderline aggressive and very inflexible. They advertise as pet friendly by application, so in other words they can pick and choose depending on their own personal desires. Likewise, there is no consistency with the min stay rule, this seems to depend on the mood of the proprietor also. If checking out early you must return the key to the amenities by 5pm the day prior, should you want your $20 key deposit back, leaving you no access to the amenities from that time. The other guests were very friendly and up for a chat. The location is good as you have access to the beach directly across the road and shops.

My wife and i have stayed at this place many tines over the past 15 years. My wife called to book another trip and was told she must book fir a minimum three days NEVER has this been the case before. The rude person speaking with my wife insisted she book for three days. When my wife told her that in that case you have lost our business this person hung up. Trust me when i say, we will never visit this place again

The easy check in was quick and quite pleasant. The cabin was nice but could do with a upgrade. Paint peeling and no smoke alarms (removed) and internet was weak and no water views. The traffic is quite busy but ok to sit back on the balcony and get the nice breeze.

I'm just saying it once "Do not go there!" While the park was up to standard - nothing went as planned. Even after double checking, the late arrival did not work out at all. No key that should have been put out for us to find, no letter, nothing, and noone who would pick up at the after hours number after 8:30 pm - come on! In the morning when sone would expect some sort of apology or customerservice - aggressive, insulting, condecending and uncooperative behaviour is what we got. One way to spoil a nice morning.

Locally little park. Friendly guests. Staff pretty good. Very tight needing park staff to assist. But not that tight really once in. Nothing unusual for a lot of parks. Nice little pool. Slide for kids but it was a bit scary for nervous parents. Not much protection on the climb. Great location for the mission beach village ***** and 3 minute walk to the amazing beach. Road noise wasn’t great late and early. I’m a light sleeper though.

The loathsome woman running this park is a disgrace to tourism and the very nasty little cabin we rented on line was uncomfortable and vastly overpriced. In a large beautiful park the cabins were jammed as close as possible to the busy main tourist road, the bed was horrible and everything else was run down or non existent. If we had booked back packer-priced accommodation it might be ok but we paid $740 for 5 nights and we left after 1 awful night and a dressing down from the owner. $592 out of pocket. We then found a beautiful spacious resort apartment for $125 per night and had a great holiday in lovely Mission Beach. The Hideaway owner was breathtakingly rude and obviously well-used to complaints about the cabins and more than ready to yell over any one else who tried to speak."I can tell you now yo won't get a refund"- showed that this was not a a freak occurrence and so do other reviews. We hope that no one else will have to lose $592 as we did to learn the truth about this place. DO NOT BOOK THERE.

great caravan park with all amenities pool was ok and the toilets and showers were very clean and camp kitchens were clean and well equiped the reception people not too welcoming and i thought would be more welcoming under current times due to mission beach being so quiet, and internet only 500mb per day a little limited
