Travelled from Waterford to Glendale House in Monaghan for a cycling event. Highly recommend staying as my room was spotless with WiFi, tv, and tea coffee available when I arrived. This b&b is located in a quiet location, ensuring a great night's sleep. Also, just minutes from the town centre. John was more than helpful and cooked up a fabulous breakfast for his guests.

I lived with John for 6 weeks as a student on an internship in Ireland, and it felt like home. He's the sweetest man, plenty of good talks and made me feel at ease as I was far away from home. He makes a mean Irish breakfast, you should try it. The rooms are plenty big, with big windows. The beds are really comfortable and the ensuite bathroom is a must. The wardrobe and cupboards were perfect for my long stay. He's located on the outskirts of Monaghan, in a really peaceful location. I can't help but recommend him for your stay in Monaghan County!

I stayed here for 4 months while on contract in Monaghan. It's a great place to stay. Really comfortable rooms and the owner John is a gentleman. Highly recommend staying here.

On a recent visit to Monaghan, I was delighted to be able to stay at Glendale House. The breakfast each morning was exceptional, finest full Irish, complete with home made wheaten bread - fresh from the oven every day. [I even got a wee bit to take away with me!] John does an exceptional job running his B & B enterprise. The rooms are all a good size, they are bright & airy and all ensuite. It's a very relaxed house where one can instantly feel at home. It's a 30 minute walk from the town, so better if you have a car, but an ideal location if you're visiting the neighbourhood and it's exceptionally good value for money.

Glendale house is a beautifu house with a very homely feel. Great location,so close to Monaghan town,but still so peaceful for a great nights sleep. John a gentleman,always respons if needed. Breakfast fantastic,every single item you could want!! We all really enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend+would definitely stay again.

Very convenient to castle Leslie us we where attending a wedding there the place was absolutely very very clean and the breakfast was amazing really enjoyed the service and the company nothing was too much and the bottle of cold water we really appreciate on are return from the function thank you John

We stayed for one night in this B&B, the host is very accommodating and friendly. We also needed a shed for bikes and gear and was provided with same easily. Lovely breakfast. Would recommend to a group of friends or family. Plenty of parking. About a 2 minute drive from Monaghan town centre.

I was there for multiple days with my friend and it was really clean (especially the bathroom), comfortable (especially the beds) and cozy. John was also really friendly and always ready to help us. The food was also really good.
