The ventilation window of the bathroom is directly connected to the outside. When the light is turned on at night, mosquitoes will fly in and small geckos will crawl in. The room may have a smell because it is too humid. However, the hotel service is very good. We went to Safari the next morning because the off-road vehicle was stuck in a mud pit and delayed time. We returned to the hotel late. The hotel also called to ask if we needed to save our breakfast.

I feel bad giving this hotel such a bad review as the staff are really lovely and really do their best, but this hotel is very tired. The decoration is faded, bathrooms need updating and the food was shocking One positive is it’s a great location to the national park and udawalawe elephant transit home project We checked out after only one night- it was worth scarificing our room rate rather than stay another night

What a great location. Witnessed two weddings whilst here which was fascinating. Staff were very attentive and polite. Food was very good, delighted that fish and chips were on the menu ! A great room with a marvellous balcony allowed a great opportunity to relax.

It's a underrated Hotel situated at Udawalawa. You must visit this place, it's a nice hotel to visit. Good variety of food, delicious. Staff are serving welcoming 😁 Big clean rooms with gorgeous views. Don't forget to go to the rooftop, you will be amazed.

Arrival was fantastic. Welcoming staff and lovely fish ponds in reception. Room was nice, good bed, great bathroom and fantastic view over the national park. Pool area was good too. Staff were wonderful! The hotel needs a bar by the pool, perhaps instead of the bar inside which is a bit dark and dingy. The food was ok. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a one night stay at Udawalawe. Anyone staying more than one night would probably struggle to find things to do after safari (which was incredible!)

Interesting aspect on arriving at reception, little ornamental bridges, pools with fish etc.Well appointed room, clean and comfortable, air con set at comfortable temperature and not with noise level of other hotels so comfortable sleep. Stunning location with lovely outdoor pool and wonderful views from the roof terrace. The bar and restaurant area were a bit dark and old fashioned in appearance but I loved them, very atmospheric and well stocked with wine at very reasonable prices. Good food in the restaurant although mostly tour groups dining.Very friendly and helpful staff. Would have liked to stay longer.

We had a single night here between a late arrival from a terrific game drive in Udawalawe, and an early check-out to get to Bundala National Park the following morning. Room was ok - a trek from reception! Clean, but some layout issues - bedside sockets lacking, harsh lighting. Had to ring reception for a hairdryer. We ate a buffet dinner in the restaurant, food was good and reasonably priced. Coped with a mix of big parties and couples/small groups pretty well and spaces reasonably broken up for this. Pack-up breakfast boxes for the early start were good and provided adequate substitiutes for my gluten free wife. All in all, a perfectly good stop over for nearby national parks.

Stay was amazing! Special shoutout to Thisara and Thanuja who were super freindly and made me feel so welcome! Game of pool and taught me about local Sri Lankan dishes at dinner. Will definitely stay there again and look forward to safari tomorrow
