We stayed in the Hu Open air mobile homes for 10 nights. We hired a car and you do need it. We shopped locally and ate out most nights in the local town, it appeared to be less expensive. The shop was expensive to shop for food. The Hu Openair mobiles appeared to be in better condition and modern compared to the Eurocamp ones. This is something I picked up from reviews, and it is very evident. They are very clean, and we would have high standards. Balcony area was brilliant, we could close the gate and the baby could crawl around safely. The campsite was very well kept. pool areas etc kept clean. Bins were often over flowing on busier days. There is gravel on the paths and between the sites, do not bring expensive shoes. This was my husbands first experience of camping and he said it would be difficult for him to go back to all-inclusive/apartment type holiday. It is perfect for kids. We have 3 8 years and under. The entertainment team during the day and at nighttime were fabulous. Foam party, pool party a brilliant range of activities. We didn;t avail of the kids club but it has a busy schedule. Would recommend and hope to return. Visit to Pisa is a must!

We had our holiday here 28th August- 1st September.. A car is definately needed for the time you are there. We arrived early due to flight times etc, and were told to go to the accommodation reception at 4pm. We were told that we could use the pool and bar, after walking up a steep hill with cases one of the staff on a golf trolly pointed us in the direction of the pool. Arrived at the accommodation reception I was told our accommodation was not ready and we would get a text. I rejoined my family at poolside then it started raining. At 6pm I got a text saying the accommodation was ready. After getting the keys and finding our caravan we did a quick inspection only to find a courgette behind a cusion and some bits of dirt under another Also we had no hot water as the boiler did not work properly. I reported both to the accommodation reception two of the staff came to have a look at the boiler and both could not fix it. The next day at around 10 am two maintance guys turned up. We were not told they were comming. But they fixed the boiler. At no time did we get an apolgy from the staff about this inconveniance and the staff also did not check if the boiler was fixed. The wifi was very limited and kept cutting out. The mini supermarket is very limited with stock. We have stayed in caravans and campsites before and have been happy but this was a big let down

We have just got back from an absolutely amazing holiday. The camp it’s very clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the entertainment team are brilliant, the restaurant is lovely, we ate there most nights and never had a bad meal there. We hired a car for a couple of days and explored some of the local towns and we weren’t disappointed. Cecina Mare is definitely worth a visit too if you have a car, especially for a meal. The only thing that we would do differently if we went back was to hire a car for the whole time.

This is a beautiful campsite set in woods. Wifi reception is everywhere. Staff are really Lovely, so incredibly helpful. Lots of space between mobile homes. A car is absolutely needed (astronomical hiring prices from Pisa airport), train service isn't great and no bus to the campsite from the train station. €100 for family of five to go from Pisa to camp (shuttle to train from Pisa + train ticket + taxi). Car needed to go to supermarket, shop on site not only far too expensive but fruit, veg & meat quality extremely poor. Suncream was €25 a bottle. Lidl or Coop nearby were brilliant, lovely homegrown fruit & veg. Coop was great if you want little pool toys/snorkel. Utterly fabulous places within 60-90min car journey to visit for day trips. Just a precaution re Pisa airport, if you are renting a car, you have to take a shuttle that's v hot to go to rent-a-car terminal. It's only a five min journey but 20min wait & it's really hard in intense heat with children and no air conditioning on bus - everyone squished in with big suitcases & standing room mostly. It took about 10mins just to load the bus with people & cases. So make sure kids watered & calm in airport before heading to shuttle. Maybe one adult could wait at airport door with kids in shade while other queues with bags for bus? Airport is v small and shuttle 30secs down path from door. If you are taking train from Pisa, the shuttle from the airport to the train station is €5per person (child ticket only up to age 12). Yes peak season or long weekends would be tough on the campsite, like any other. The pools are perfect and there's a water park down the road if kids want slides. Place is really clean and I noticed a comment about "old" toilets. It's not salubrious but they are perfectly clean.

If I could give zero stars I would. We have just returned from the worst weeks holiday in our lives. Let me try and briefly summarise. Cons: Eurocamp accommodation standard - awful, full of ants, uncomfortable beds, no hot water, no Wi-Fi or data, no BBQ and not enough towels even though we paid for 5. It was dirty and just gross. Impossible to get loungers so you have to sit in the cafe. If you reserve loungers the life guard removes your towels and you have to search for them. Food in restaurant is disgusting and costs a fortune! Everyone on the site is expensive €15 euros for 5 soft drinks. The site is huge and when we arrived it was difficult to find our accommodation, we drove around the one way roads at least 5 times before being able to find the accommodation. The location of the site is rubbish with only a lidl and McDonald’s close by. We went into the town on several occasions on the search for food but most of The shops and restaurants were closed. The only food place open was Ali Baba kabab shop! If you need any on site help, don’t bother going to reception as they will tell you to call eurocamp who closes after 5pm. They couldn’t even give us an extra pillow and told Us to call eurocamp. Pros: Teenagers enjoyed the pool and the football pitch I’d definitely recommend a car otherwise you really can’t leave the site. Overall wouldn’t return, we counted down the days to leave and even researched an earlier flight! Awful holiday.

Big site with lots of facilities. But facilities can’t cope with peak demand in summer. Showers / washing machines / take away / restaurant all had big queues. Toilet and shower facilities were dirty and old. Perhaps the biggest issue for us is that there doesn’t appear to be any limit to the number of people staying on a pitch so extended Italian families in particular seem to book a pitch and use it for 10 people, then others book a pitch near by and they all congregate at meal time so you are next door to a table of 16 people at meal time - ok once or twice but hard work every day for a week ! ‘Quiet time’ is fairly short from midnight to 7 am. But we were consistently kept awake by Italians until 3am. Add to this the delivery for the shop and bin collections before 7 and you might struggle to get much sleep. Wi-Fi is very limited - created a issues for us as the 4g reception was poor so planning trips etc was difficult. Finally the site itself isn’t particularly near anything that you could walk or cycle to. So it’s a bit like a centre parcs whereby people don’t leave the site much

This campsite is not as good as Norcenni Girasole. The restaurants and pool aren’t as good. They also seem a bit disorganised. We had to wait an hour and a half after our check in time before we were allowed in. There is no mobile data coverage at the campsite so you have to use the Wi-Fi which is awful. It only works around the pool and you keep getting disconnected. Otherwise it was fine. The accommodation was good. It was the second most expensive. The staff are helpful and friendly.

We paid over £30 for a linen pack for our weeks stay in July. The pack includes 2 towels. With the temperature over 40 degrees everyday we were showering a lot and using the pools. After a few days we needed clean towels. The leaflet they had given us on arrival said we could request a linen replacement, but when we asked for 2 clean towels they refused, and said we would have to repurchase some more towels. Considering we had paid over £30 to begin with we felt this was extremely mean of Eurocamp, and actually amounts to a scam, because you are stuck there in extreme heat and in need of clean towels! There is no mention in any of Eurocamps literature that you can't get fresh linen/towels, and for the price you would certainly assume you can. BEWARE!!!
