Hilton Short Hills

Overall, this is a good choice. Clean rooms and professional staff. Location is a bit isolated without a car, but a vibrant street with lots of restaurants is a few minute drive away. The main downside was the pillows. They gave us four side-sleep pillows. Did not sleep well because they are too fluffy.

Our room was spacious and exceptionally clean. Buffet breakfast was included and it was delicious.

I would have liked more shuttle availability. Do they have a shuttle to the airport? Downtown Summit to the train? There was no information except for a shuttle to the shopping mall across the street.

Exceptional property in all respects. I now have a new go to hotel when traveling to the NY/NJ Metropolitan area.

Was very disappointed at check-in. I paid an extra $70 through ******* for an 'Executive' room. Was led to believed it had an extra sitting room, couch, bathtub etc. At check-in, the woman's first question was if I needed a handicap room. I said no; I am not handicapped. When we got up to the room, it was a regular room. I went back downstairs to point out the discrepancy and the woman bluntly asked "I asked if you needed a handicapped room and you said no". During our exchange after she said this, because I could not believe she said it with a serious face, she tried to tell me that the handicap room and executive rooms are the same. So what ******* calls an 'Executive' room, the Hilton calls a handicapped room? 1. How am I supposed to know that upon check-in? 2. How does that even make any sense? Seemed like a complete money grab to charge me extra, use some language discrepancy between the Hilton and the third party as an excuse and then tell me I have to deal with it via *******. Absolutely absurd. To this point this is my first and only complaint while using *******'s service, but it is so frustrating I am expecting to be compensated at least the difference in price between this mythical 'Executive' room and what I actually got, which was a regular room.

1. parking garage did not have adequate room for car, was dark without adequate lighting, exit sign was placed incorrectly and signs follow an infinite circle 2. when i booked through *******, i called the hotel regarding early check in, and the hotel edited my reservation check in at 3pm. when we arrived at 2:30, the hotel said the room was not ready and to come an hour later. at 3:30pm, we came again and they said they were not ready and to come again at 4pm. at 4pm, the hotel said that because my reservation was a suite, it would require more time to clean. when i asked for the manager, the manager was extremely rude and said she would go ahead to ask housekeeping and housekeeping said no one told them to clean my suite. i was able to check in at 4:45pm, all because the front desk did not notify housekeeping and had horrendous customer service, ultimately making the customer (me) unsatisfied.
