We returned to The Fort Resort Nagerkot after 25 years to celebrate our Silver wedding anniversary and it couldn’t have been a better decision than this. We had had a wonderful stay at the Fort Resort in 1997 as part of our honeymoon and we had such fond memories of our stay here that we decided to return back to celebrate with our friends. Though we were saddened that the main building had been destroyed due to the earthquake a few years back, our stay in the cottages was wonderful this time. We had a lovely view of the entire mountain range right from our beds. The property in entirety is lovely in the midst of nature and the charm remains the same even after so many years which we can’t say of too many properties. The food was good, especially the Nepalese thali was enjoyed by all. The service by all the staff was absolutely par excellence. They all greeted us with a smile every time we bumped into them and were always around to ensure we got whatever we needed whenever it was. During the amazing sunrises from the roof top, even before we could ask for the hot cup of tea or coffee, Vikram or Roj would be there with hot pots of tea and coffee. Ganesh along with Vikram and Roz were always there to pamper us with all the kinds of food at the restaurants or when we spent time at the garden. Deepak at the reception was really helpful and smiling all the time. And Anil, the Manager in his quiet manner managed to provide for all whatever we needed through our stay there. All in all the entire team of staff were soft spoken and always ready to help silently and with a broad smile. The staff at The Fort genuinely made sure we had a perfect silver wedding anniversary and we will remember this through the rest of our life.
