Wonderful room, service, and overall experience. The room was equipped with a gas heater that quickly warmed the room up despite the January cold. There were also cups, a tea pot, satchels of green tea, and an electric kettle to prepare tea in the room. The onsen bath was very hot and wonderful and the futon and pillows were comfortable. 5/5 experience!

Sawado Onsen is known as Kusatsu's healing hot spring. After enjoying a day trip to Kusatsu Onsen, we stayed at Ryumeikan. The exterior gives the feeling of returning to the countryside. It is a homely and cozy inn, the landlady is friendly and the staff are cheerful as well. The dinner portion was particularly generous. If you underestimate it, your stomach will definitely die of rage. It seems that my stomach was happy to be able to eat so much delicious food. The most difficult thing was the bath. It was so hot that I had a hard time getting in. I think the key to success is to pour lots of water over yourself. Sawado Onsen is known as a famous hot spring. There was hot water and my skin felt smooth afterwards. The water is so hot that it might be better for your body to use it in the cold season.
