Optimum Residencies

Very basic room and bathroom but OK for a place to sleep before a flight from the nearby airport. They offer a shuttle bus to the airport (about 20 minutes) and will give you a packed breakfast if you have to leave before breakfast starts at 8am. Unfortunately the bag breakfast is very sub-par. Our room was next to one of the pools, where a group of folks were having a late night swim so not much sleep. The gardens are nice. Staff very friendly.

The room was basic, but clean. We stayed here for only a few hours (we’d arrived in the middle of the night), but had a good sleep and breakfast before leaving. It’s very close to the airport, so it’s a good place to have your first stop!

What a wonderful place. The family meets every need with a smile. The breakfast is a wonderful blend of western and local. The rooms are clean and comfortable. With airport pickup and drop-off it is ideal for entering Sri Lanka. The two sparkling pools are great for relaxing. Highly recommended.

The location and the service (you get free pick up and drop off at the airport) are very nice. Staff is really friendly, the food good. The fact that there are 2 swimming pools is actually ideal. It is a nice place to ground yourself when you enter Sri Lanka, but also a top location to round off your holiday.

What a wonderful find! This is a real gem of a stay after a long night flight and before you venture on your travels. First I have to say that the family and friends who have built and run this wonderful place are so welcoming and accommodating, they will help you with anything you need. And always with a smile. Their son and young daughter also played an important part in running the business, which I thought was just wonderful. Let me tell you about the tropical gardens and hidden ponds full of fish and the gentle sounds of the frogs/toads at night Oh and the 2 well-kept swimming pools that were a welcome relief from a hot day. Although we did have a lot of rain. The rooms were spotless and the beds were very comfy. We had a free pick up from the airport but our plane was delayed so we were worried when we didn't find anyone but literally 10 minutes later a very welcoming smiley face came to pick us up. It was so easy to get a Tuktuk into Negombo which was really good fun. We fell in love with Sri Lanka from the very start. Thank you Optimum Residencies you were far more than we expected. Almost like a resort ... two pools, one with a slide (for kids !). Fabulous staff / management - all friendly and smiling ! Airport shuttle - just 15 minutes. Great breakfast ! I had already arranged a driver, but apparently they will organize tours / driver for you.
