The environment is good, the transportation is convenient, just next to the New York University campus, 100 meters away. Very convenient.

We enjoyed our stay at the Moxy, but will note that the service was subpar. The front desk staff were pretty aloof. Also, despite choosing the option to have our room cleaned, we didn't have our roomer cleaned once during our three night stay. On the last day, we were in our room at 3:15 PM when housekeeping knocked. Still, the rooms were nice and the hotel was trendy. The location was great as well.

This is a European kind of hotel. Rooms are tiny but very functional. The flowing lobby/bar/breakfast areas are fun but an afternoon snack is not to be found. A good but pricy Restaurant is associated with the hotel as is a nice roof garden bar. This seems to be a couples/family/ younger folks place. It is not a business hotel.

Average hotel in NYC. The room had 2 beds, a TV, shower and a bathroom with a milk glass door that left an inch open (so no noise or smell insulation). There were many hooks to hang up clothes and small bags on the wall. No chair, no table, no closet were there. The fitness room is small and had a defect in the ceiling. The biggest issue I had with them was the $30 per day destination fee, which is added to whatever one already paid for the room. This includes the arrival and departure day: 3 night stay = 4x$30! One can get credit at the hotel bar and cafe for it, but only at the rate of $30 per day.

This was our first booking @ Moxy NYC East Village. From the moment we checked in with Andrew, to the time we checked out, very customer-centric experience to make our stay be the best it could be! Room was clean, bed was comfortable with room-darkening blinds. While not large, which we knew, extremely efficient layout and most importantly, one of the quieter stays in NYC. Walkable neighborhood with some really good restaurants and cafes in the area and close to the Orpheum Theatre, which was the reason for our visit. The Alphabet Bar @ Moxy was hopping after we got back from Hamlet. While crowded, it was also a great atmosphere/gathering place from our observations. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for making our stay an enjoyable one! We will definitely be back for a future stay.

Small but very thoughtfully designed room, like a high-end "pod hotel". Very clean, modern, comfortable. The all-around high quality of everything, the location, made our stay quite enjoyable. We got a nice voucher for the pop-up cafe for breakfast. Excellent food service ambience. That, along with the the other vouchers can make your stay even more enjoyable. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

We liked the bunkbed option for our kids. Excellent location to explore the city by foot and public transportation. Very helpful staff. Excellent coffee and breakfast options in the mornings.

1. AWFUL noise at night from main road nightclubs and then woken early morning by defeating bin trucks. My friend also had a front street facing room and although we were both on 5th floor neither of us slept at all. however a friend with a rear facing room on 5th floor slept ok. But they can't guarantee your room. 2. bed was up against a window so if two people are sleeping that would be incredibly awkward especially if need bathroom at night. 3. room is very small - i would say only for one person. 4. sink is in main part of room not in bathroom so floor gets wet and all toiletries are on display as soon as you walk in. HOWEVER: great music and bar downstairs you get vouchers for their coffee shop but very basic - cakes, sandwiches (which can run out) and salads in a box so have to venture out for a hot meal. overall if there to club and party great but if need some space and want to sleep maybe not so good despite the price.

Vibe of a boutique hotel, a Marriott. Note, $30 of the bill is billed for incidentals. This is a good thing because you can get drinks, coffee, and breakfast. I believe the Fiji water in the room can be used within the $30.

Great chic hotel. Rooms are very small. Lobby small. Breakfast was fantastic and lounge area very cool.
