I am a regular at this pub and even enjoy visiting for food as well as drinks however I decided to drive and park at the pub due to taking children and I have to say I am extremely let down I have come home to a parking ticket it was a dark evening and the sign was clear enough nor did I ever hear of such a bizarre parking arrangement and I unfortunately did not provide my registration therefore have a £100 fine for parking in a free car park. I’m devastated at this news and as a loyal customer feel really let down by my local pub. Even a sign heading into the bar or at the bar would be helpful as no mention from the staff when I had my car keys visibly clear and stated no alcohol for me as driving. Really hope something more can be done as times are really hard and no one has spare £100 these days.

The staff were friendly and helpful, a good atmosphere both day and night , affordable drinks and a wide variety, food was lovely and warm a great selection for everyone, including veggie. Would definitely recommend to others and plan to go back again.

Despite all the reviews saying this place is poor and disappointing, me and my friend stayed here for my birthday weekend and the staff, the room, the service was on point!! Thank you so much for a great stay and we would definitely be back 👏🏼😁 P.s Breakfast was banging!

I visited the Corner House in August last year and it is only now that I have been made aware through enforcement action of a parking fine??? If there were clear signs that displayed parking charges then I would have paid but they were not clear at all (especially at night) and I can't believe that it is only now that I have received notice of the fine. Needless to say that I am also shocked that parking charges apply in a local pub and I was not made aware of this by the staff..... I visit often as I am local and the one and only time that I took my car I got fined! Staff should have a duty to make customers aware of this. I am so shocked and disappointed that I don't think I can go back and spend my money there now! Please be aware of this if you visit as you can't rely on staff to inform you!

I'd like to say thanks to the Corner House for cancelling my parking fine. Other than that, we always enjoy our food and drink there (and can take the kids too). There's plenty of seating for bigger and smaller groups. Ordering is easy at the bar and on the app.

A decent hotel by Greene King. Have stayed here before and would do so again. This time round I had a massive corner room which was clean and comfortable. Reasonable food in the pub (big portions), decent staff and a good location. Nothing to dislike

Lovley pub staff are really nice and helpful , had a steak salad , steak was cooked to perfection by Carl. Nothing was too much trouble for claire she was very helpful . Would definitely go back .especially if they cook my steak right . Thank you

My mother and father stayed here over Christmas. Rooms were clean and tidy. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. They didn't stay for breakfast but had a couple of evening meal and they were lovely. We will definitely be using this hotel again.

Parking charges at a pub, seriously? Did not see the sign as wasn’t obvious when arriving at night in the dark. Was not told about it at the bar, a quick drink with friends has cost me £60 in parking fine. Will never return.
