First thoughts on room very very good and was impressed, but later on when we had shower we noticed staining on tiles from the grout also ground in dirt on shower door (see photos),also walls needed a spruce up as quite grubby. The next morning we complained about the room and was taken to one that had been updated which in our mind was a downgrade as we had a beach view in first room and this was a car park view. The manager was a good listener and agreed the room wasn’t good and said our room was on the list to be updated (should have been told this on arrival). After the initial conversation nothing else was done and we feel we have been let down. This room is £450 a night and we feel robbed. No refund or hotel credit was even spoke off ,even a bottle of wine in the room would have been nice.

I just wanted to say what a wonderful time I had even though it was only a 24 hour break. It really is a magical place and I feel fully restored after a blissful spa and stay. I could not fault a thing, from the thoughtful staff, the food and ambience of the dining room. I felt so looked after without any fuss, just kindness and attention. I felt rather emotional when I walked into my room, to see the sea view in all its glory. This is just the break I needed. I wish I could say in words more eloquently what a lovely time I had.

We came for afternoon tea for our anniversary in the Ren Mor restaurant and had a glorious experience. Prior to visiting their customer service via email was very helpful. Lazlow was our waiter and he was brilliant, very attentive and welcoming but not too much. I needed a dairy free version of the afternoon tea due to an allergy and this was accounted for and they bought me and my fiancé a seperate one which was brilliant. There was sooo much food, we each had: 4 sandwich’s, 2 scones and 4 cakes plus a whole Christmas cake. We couldn’t eat it all so got to take it away in a takeaway box. The views from the restaurant over fistral beach are spectacular and we were fortunate with the weather. Would definitely recommend and we’ll remember this for years to come. Thanks again for making our anniversary very special.

My sister and I took my parents to the Terrace restaurant, last week for our Mum and today for our Dads 80th. I can’t fault all the staff, they have been amazing, so friendly and nothing too much trouble. We’d especially like to thank Kelly and the manageress, apologies we didn’t get your name. They made our parents feel so special, they decorated the table, and even gave them a happy birthday decorated dessert and a birthday card! Thank you, we will be back.

We are frequent visitors to The Headland and will base my review on our last stay in April 2024. We booked our stay for early April to coincide with my birthday. Unfortunately I fractured a bone in my foot and had to delay our holiday. No problem with the hotel they just moved our stay with no fuss or extra charge. We chose the Fistral feasts package which included dinner. The whole stay was fantastic. Great room with amazing views, exceptionally clean and luxurious. We were greeted with a bottle of fizz and two vouchers for complementary cocktails to celebrate my birthday a very nice touch. We chose to eat in the RenMor restaurant which was totally refurbished last year. The ambiance is amazing with very attentive friendly staff and excellent food. The RenMor is more like a five star restaurant not an upmarket hotel dining room. The hotel has many facilities including a spa and aqua centre with indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The hotel itself sits on the headland overlooking Fistral beach offering great views. The biggest asset the hotel has is its staff, always smiling with nothing being too much trouble and always checking we were ok. If I was to list the staff who made our stay memorable you would get a long list of names. However I will mention Kai and Finn who went to a level above sorting out our next stay over the Festive season. We would also like to wish Christian well on his move to Australia. Just keep doing what you do Headland team. Just perfect.

Where do I begin? this hotel and its staff are exceptional. The hotel has a true home from home atmosphere with newly refurbed luxurious facilities in a fantastic location with delicious food. My husband and I were meant to have travelled to Scilly but due to storm Kathleen we were stranded on the mainland. Still wanting to make a holiday if it we called the headland hotel on the Saturday morning for a two night stay. Immediately we were booked in and because it was my husband’s 40th an “upgrade subject to availability” was added to the booking, so kind. We arrived to the very dramatic setting of the Headland hotel and decided to get a drink in the lounge area and wait till check in at 3pm. As soon as we arrived in the lounge we were greeted by staff, they were intentional, organised, friendly and efficient… it was not a one off, the whole hotel seemed well connected and all staff we came into contact with had the same qualities. The suite we ended up staying in was beautiful, it was a great size with separate lounge and the bed was so comfortable. It was nice to have the heated flooring in the bathroom (added luxury) too. The sea views even though across the car park were still lovely. We really enjoyed the food and service in the restaurants, both the fine dining restaurant and the one open for roast on Sundays were great. Families were celebrating in the lounge through out the two days, there were well behaved dogs in the lounge on leads as well as a real buzz of couples enjoying a cosy drink or two. We managed to enjoy the stunning refurbished spa too, it’s great to have adult only areas and the restaurant over there with bar and pizza oven is also a great idea. The hot tubs were not too busy and staff were attentive with drinks and clearing the plastic glasses from around the pool area. Because of the fabulous hotel and its location (Fistral beach), we are definitely planning on returning and this time with the kids and dog! Might even try out the cottages next time too! Thank you Headland hotel for a very memorable stay, we will be back!

We had an amazing experience at the Headland Hotel Afternoon tea! The ambiance was amazing, service impeccable, food good (although would prefer more savoury items to balance out the sweet). The hotel was beautiful, and we had amazing seating, felt like the best seats in the house!

This is a wonderful "Grande Dame" hotel. I thoroughly enjoy my 5 nights here. The room was spacious and had a great view. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast offerings were great. Housekeep was spot on, my room was always very tidy. I loved their high tech shower controls. Since the weather wan't great, I was grateful for their spa. I used it nearly everyday. The staff is all very friendly and helpful.

Wow this place, just the best mix of traditional service with modern amenities. Great food and spa and the setting is something else. We went for a special anniversary celebration as a treat. This place superseded our expectations. Amazing staff.
