This is one of the best experiences I ever had in a Onsen hotel! The dinner is a must try. As we arrived in the place, we got into the cultural and historical atmosphere immediately. Walking to the dinner venue via the wooden bridge feels like entering another world. The dishes are delicious and follow seasonal menu using local ingredients.

Enjoy this Traditional style onsen hotel. Good service although it is quite a bit of long 3.5 hour drive from Tokyo airport.

Poor services. No help with luggage’s despite have many stairs in the hotel. The staff seemed uninterested in offering services. Much worse than most onsen hotels in Japan. Best avoid.

A quiet little town, the waitresses were exceptionally kind. The hot springs were very comfortable; I booked two private baths, and everything was perfect except the water was a bit cold. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. The explanations were very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here with my family, remembering my stay when I was in elementary school. We enjoyed the history, the hot springs, and the meals around the hearth.

The hotel environment is very good. The hygiene is clean. The room is tidy. The service is also warm and considerate. There will be a drum welcome ceremony. There is also a free water bar in the lobby. You can drink tea and enjoy the scenery. The dinner restaurant needs to pass through the suspension bridge. The dinner is also unique. The hot spring water quality is also good. There are soup flowers. It is very comfortable to soak in.

It was a nice inn with a Showa-era feel to it. However, there were a lot of stairs, and it was painful to see elderly people struggling with the stairs and the bath. The bridge leading from the main building to the annex where we had dinner was dark and scary, like a survival zone. I was upset when I made a mistake with the kanji in my name, but I was glad that they took care of it right away. I was busy eating, so I wondered if it was okay because someone was running around.
