Stayed here and booked our reception for our wedding this last weekend. I'd like to start of by saying MOST of the staff was pretty wonderful and attentive. They are NOT my complaint... My issues lie as follows: 1.) Stayed in the saffron room. Considering what they charged us per night (700$ or so?), you would assume the mattress would be at least tolerable? No, both my wife and I are still trying to recover from the bent out of shape box we slept on. I had to sleep on the floor because my t-spine went out. HORRENDOUS mattress. 2.) Absolutely no water pressure in the showers upstairs. I had to either wait 3-5 minutes for hot water, or try to shake what water did come out from the shower head. Rinsing you hair out isn't even a possibility. Tried 3 different family members rooms on the second floor, issue reigned true in all three. 3.) HANDS DOWN my biggest issue. There is a little shrewd man with glasses and a pretty heavy accent that runs the event planning for the facility. On the night of our reception, around 1145-1200, I bumped in to him on my way to the restroom. Keep in mind I am the groom, and also paying the hefty price for this place. Casually, I asked what time they would need us to start packing out. This pretentious little weasel looks at his watch and says, "Well, it's midnight, so......." And then glares at me. I, along with multiple guests noticed him hovering at the windows glaring at us during the reception. I don't quite understand what that's all about, but if you feel inconvenienced by guests, get into a new line of work. That dude was trash. 4.) 45 minute wait time for the main course during the reception. 5.) you were told weeks in advance there would be 3 children under three at the reception, but made no effort to have more than two high chairs. With what you get paid, the lack of effort is astounding. My 6 month old had to lap surf during dinner? No, absurdly large failure on your part as a restaurant. 6.) pretty petty, but all is fair. I was told I had a specific spot because my truck was large and packed for the valley most of the trip. My spot was given away and no effort was made to remedy. 7.) when leaving, we asked for a few minutes to finished packing 2 hours before check out. Some blonde kid with a mustache said, " I'll set my time for 3 minutes." Like he was trying to rush us out. Over all, I'm sorry, but you claim to be a five diamond location. If you show that off, you had better step your game up. And most certainly when patrons spend multiple thousands of dollars on your location. I appreciate the bottles of wine, prompt cleaning, and breakfasts. I appreciate the wonderful woman who welcomed us and was so gracious. The stars are for that. The chateau itself is clever and beautiful, but as previously stated, you DESPERATELY need to remedy the other issues. 10/10 would not return, 10/10 think the snobby little event planner should be fired, 10/10 think the pushy blonde kid should be reprimande

Where to begin? This is one of the most charming places we've stayed and we travel a ton! The service was the best we've ever had. All staff were so kind and went out of their way to make our stay perfect. One staff member really stood out, Skylar, he is honestly amazing! He was on point with service and made our stay incredible. We stayed in the villa for 4 night. It was absolutely perfect! The spa and property around the villa were private and gorgeous. The library was a great space for my husband to take some remote meetings. The water, soda, snacks and treats at turn down were all such an unexpected treat! The bed was so comfortable, bathroom soaps/shampoos were wonderful, towels/robes were so soft! We booked a private tour of Yosemite through the hotel and loved that. We ate at elderberry three times, such a wonderful experience each time and food was outstanding. We are already planning our next visit!!

Magical experience. My friend and I stayed for my birthday and we could not have had better service or accomodations. The staff were attentive, the setting beautiful, the room, and the chateau itself were wonderfully and perfectly appointed. We felt as though we were in a fairy tale! Dining at the restaurant is a must, and I highly recommend the wine pairing. Also, breakfast was excellently prepared. We walked the grounds and enjoyed all of the little decor surprises along the paths.

my husband and i booked 2 nights as part of our honeymoon in california. it was a long drive to the hotel from where we were staying so arrived very tired. But when we arrived a lovely lady met us on the steps and brought us into the hotel to show us our room and show us round. meanwhile a gentleman kindly brought our bags to our room parked our car for us. Nice and easy! Tea and coffee also arrived quickly to our room which was much needed! our room was on the ground floor, room 3 (Sweet Geranium room). it was stunning! something out of a fairytale! Four poster bed, lovely old furniture, period but stylish decor in the large bathroom. Plus the room had a small seating area and small private balcony. the room had a lot of the things you need / expect in hotel. eg air con (although being the sort of building it is, the air con wasn't great but the hotel kindly put a large fan in our room to help keep us cool). the room has phone, wifi (although a bit slow), hairdryer, safe, iron and ironing board and bottled water which was replenished each time we finished it. there are no tea / coffee machines in the room but if you ask a member of staff they promptly bring you any hot drinks to your room the room also didnt have a TV which i found a bit odd but that's only because all hotels ive stayed in has one! but one of the staff said it's because the owner is keen for guests to try and escape modern life and relax so not be glued to a tv. but if you're desperate for some TV, there is one in the communal lounge area. (Another stunning room) there is a large pool on site and lovely gardens to walk in The Restaurant on site we dined in on our 2nd night and it was a stunning meal. Excellent fine dining. Breakfast is included and you can enjoy it outside or indoors. Very enjoyable start each morning we were there. we were very well looked after during our stay, special mention to Skyler and Megan. This hotel is gorgeous and so peaceful and tranquil. Also perfect location to explore Yosemite.

First class place with wonderful employees. Disappointed that the restaurant was closed on Sundays as it is fabulous.

The guest rooms and the public areas are extremely comfortable and the hospitality is over and above. Breakfast on the patio was great. We were a little disappointed that we had to leave the property for dinner because we arrived after 8PM on Saturday. The WiFi service, both in our room and on the patio, was unusable. The water temperature in the shower was not consistent. On the whole, the experience was excellent, but they may be due for an upgrade on the wireless infrastructure and the plumbing.
