No.26 by the Sea

My wife and I stayed for a day .........would have loved to have stayed for a week!! The service was 5 star, Rachel was a wonderful host and could do enough for all of the guests. Comfortable check in with a free glass of fizz is a great way to start. The room was amazing, as was the rest of the hotel lounges, and dinning areas. Lots of lovely touches and amazing personal service made this one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Beautiful weather wasn't expected in early April, but we made the most of it sitting on the terrace at the front enjoying a bottle of wine admiring the beautiful view. We ate that evening at No.17 which is their sister Hotel. Food was amazing and service and venue equally as good! Well done 26 by the Sea - 10/10 !!!!!!!

What a lovely property - we had such a wonderful room. Breakfast was delicious and the host could not have been nicer and provided very interesting background information on the property, Oban and the surrounding area. Front lounge was a welcoming place to sit and watch the water. Highly recommend.

A gorgeous little boutique-vibe, home-from-home experience in a wonderful location with wonderful staff and a gorgeous breakfast. Our Intimate room (the only once left when we booked) was small but well appointed. My only constructive feedback would be that it’s badged as a King Size bed but feels more like a standard double. And that the lighting is so poor, even in the bathroom, that applying makeup was a challenge. All the staff are absolutely brilliant with a call out for Rachel who gave us such a warm welcome and lots of tips on Tiree. And also the breakfast chef whose name we don’t know. His breakfasts are put together with such care and skill. A really lovely experience. We will definitely be back but look for a more spacious room with (hopefully) a bigger bed. We liked the honesty bar set up and the lounge area was a great place to chill, as well as the outdoor terrace in good weather. We also popped along to the ‘main’ sister venue at No. 17 for dinner in their Italian restaurant which was absolutely gorgeous.

I haven’t been on TA for a good while but I’m back as I must leave this review. A most lovely hotel which is right on the sea front with a woodland behind. Perfect! The hotel has private parking and the checking in procedure was smooth. We had our black lab with us who received VIP treatment from all the staff! We had breakfast each morning which was excellent as was the hotel.

Absolutely wonderful stay at No.26 By the Sea. I stayed in the beach view apartment with my son (15) and we could not have been better cared for. Took the luxury of having breakfast in the hotel every day which was amazing - meticulously prepared and presented with love. The views are spectacular and the accommodation is amazing. Carrie was wonderful as were all the staff. Only criticism (and it’s very minor) is the questionable art in the living room of the apartment. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back. Wonderful place! Well done all 👏

26 by the sea is an absolute fantastic find. We stayed in room 2 and I now know why they call the room Gorgeous!! It really is and such fabulous views from the bay window. I really must mention the staff especially Carrie . Such a lovely and welcoming person . Honestly she will do everything to help you and nothing is too much trouble. A real asset to 26 by the sea. Can’t wait to return . Many thanks for making our stay special.
