"Perfect location close to rail station.Lots of positive points, however hotel was dated in parts, room carpet flooring was unstable so had to exercise caution not to trip and cause injury. Reception staff member Jamie pleasant and most helpful, so was Nicola over the phone the night before check-in. Food could be improved, with a better variety at breakfast, and providing fresh fruit. Room allocated was not what I expected. Would stay again if better room allocated."

"We are in the area a lot and normally eat at The Oyster Inn or Lochnell and unfortunately we wished we had stuck with our normal choice. 6 of us attended for an early dinner which turned out to still be the lunch menu which was fine. We sat down and it was two young lads working, there was one other table in who had been served their food then some guys came into the bar obviously local as they all knew eachother. We sat for 10 minutes before we were even offered drinks and that’s after staring them down until one came over. Food arrived and again nearly finished before our sauce arrived, very slow service. Food was okay for some, delicious steak pie but the amount of chips with it was a smaller portion than the kids meals. Those who had fish found it greasy and not enjoyable. The service was just so slow and lacked any atmosphere which is ashame but we will stick to what we know next time!"

"Rooms are outdated Beds uncomfortable I was here in business and was allocated a single bed in this tiny room. Also bad smell as soon as you walk into the room. The shower is a sad excuse for pressure and low quality. The lights in the room are rusty and outdated the light about this single bed is loose. Honestly don’t book a muthu"

"This is a real gem of a facility that ticks all boxes, including wonderful value for money. Rooms overlooking the sea were comfortable, of a good size and well maintained. A+ location within walking distance of all that Oban had to offer. Dining area with pantry came in very handy for quick self-catered meals and coffee. Free parking available on site and that was an advantage. Highly recommended!"

"This was our second stay here, we enjoyed it so much 2 years ago that we came back. There was lure of a summer special offer of 20% discount for a stay of 7 nights too. The breakfasts are vegetarian/vegan and are excellent with some different and very healthy options to what is usually offered at vegetarian places. I would definitely say try them all in turn, myself I really enjoyed the Shakshouka and also Jan"s superfood porridge which was a really filling start to the day. My partner particularly enjoyed Daz's overnight oats. once tried he wanted them every morning! Jan and Daz are wonderful hosts and make apoint of asking if you have enjoyed your day if they see you in the evening or at breakfast the following day and are keen to know if you have any recommendations of places to visit/eat for other guests to enjoy. I really loved not having the resident hypnotist in our room, otherwise known as the TV, We used Garrgh Mhor as a base to further explore Argyll and would recommend visiting very nearby Easdale Island with a short ferry trip of 10 mins and a further afield visit to the stunning Glencoe and well as one of the Seafari adventures tours. Looking forward to visiting again not sure when yet though. The location is of Garragh Mhor is stunning with fabulous scenery all around."
