Blarcreen House

We have stayed in a lot of B&B's over the years. To class Blacreen as a B&B doesn't really do it justice. David, our host, was the person you have never met but felt like your friend you haven't seen for years. So helpful and friendly. The rooms are beautiful, as is the breakfast room and lounge. The location near Loch Etive is just fantastic. There is a great choice of breakfast, which is cooked to order at the time of your choosing. There is also a bar menu if you want drinks in the evening. I would highly recommend Blarcreen. Oban is only a few miles away, and the Oyster Inn is a great place to eat

Very helpful landlady, carried our bags to the room - I had my left hand in plaster. Room very spacious and exceptionally clean and tidy. Good location for walks alongside the water. Excellent lounge available that we did not take advantage off. Breakfast was excellent quality and hot.

Absolute gem of a place. My husband and I stayed Monday -Friday and wished we had booked for longer. We where in room 3 and have absolutely no complaints. Clean and tidy throughout. The hosts Deidre and David are incredible. Full of knowledge about the area and just lovely people to be around. Breakfast is second to none (especially the black pudding). Surroundings area is stunning. Great for walks or just relaxing. Will be booking up again. Thank you so much

We had a absolutely lovely stay at Blarcreen. It's a beautiful secluded spot, perfect for excursions into the surrounding area. David and Deirdre were the most wonderful hosts, providing delicious breakfasts, excellent recommendations for things to do in the surrounding area, and always

We stayed at Blarcreen House for 2 nights, and it was the most peaceful and tranquil place I have visited. There were recommendations for places to eat locally and we chose Oyster bay and then headed to Ardchattan. Met by David on arrival, he showed us the house and to our room. We had a twin room with the most comfy beds and beautiful furnishings. Breakfast is cooked to order and is absolutely beautiful. David and Deidre are so friendly, welcoming, attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!

This place was the loveliest stay of many lovely stays we had in Scotland. It is a small manor house down a long one lane road, on the grounds of a historic property that is still actively farmed. Total quiet. The water, the skies and the sheep make you happy to close out the rest of the world. Dierdre and David have created a welcoming and peaceful haven. The perfect, minimal decor focuses your attention out the windows to the ever-changing light and landscape views. The rooms are luxurious and the attention to detail makes you feel blissfully pampered. David serves a spectacular breakfast, and being foodies, they will direct you to Michelin starred restaurants nearby. We just walked. We crossed the fields of sheep and hiked along the lake. I never wanted to leave. Don't stay less than 2-3 full days. It would be such a waste. We felt like family within hours of our arrival. We might go back to Scotland just to visit again, for a much longer stay.
