We went for a week having been there last year. Everything was how we remembered it. We asked for the same room and the request was given. We were went out and about more this time and found a couple of lovely places. The staff are wonderful. They are helpful, and always ready for a chat. Loved Greek night. Only downside was as a. Other review mentioned was the very loud constent screaming of children Would we come back ? Yes it is a lovely hotel.

We booked Karavados beach hotel as the views looked lovely and we are more than happy to go for more typical greek island hotels having stayed in one before in Zakynthos. We booked a studio apartment and had lots of room, including a balcony overlooking the neighbouring olive grove. Aside from room neighbours dragging furniture around, it was very quiet. The beds were single beds but this was fine as it was me and my mum travelling. The shower was powerful. Our aircon was also fantastic to the point we felt too cold! The fridge provided is also ample size and powerful. We liked the fact that the bulk of the sunloungers were on the grass looking out to sea and Mount Ainos. The main pool was great and clean and there was also a small shallow pool for children. Breakfast had a good continental section with greek yoghurt also available alongside pastries and cakes. Lunch was very reasonable with a separate menu for lunch containing salads and sandwich options along with slightly heavier meals such as beef stifado and burgers. I can't remember the exact price of the chicken salad but it was around 5,80 euros. We also had dinner most of the time at the hotel as the nearest tavernas require around 30 mins walk up an incline. Despite being the only restaurant in the area, the prices were actually cheaper than the surrounding restaurants and there was a great choice. Highly recommend the chicken souvlaki, beef stifado, moussaka and chicken orzo pasta. Tuesday is Greek night in which a local duo come to perform music and there is Greek dancing on display. The main menu isn't available on this evening and only buffet is available for 25 euros a head. There was a good enough spread of Greek food but if you're not looking to pay 25euros each for dinner- I recommend finding an alternative on Tuesdays. The mini shop does not stock a lot aside from water, crisps, sweets, milk and cold meat however, we mainly used it to purchase bottled water. If you go to a neighbouring village for dinner or into Argostoli, you can always visit the supermarkets there. There is one bus to Argostoli and back every day but Sunday. It leaves from outside the hotel by the pine tree at 9:05am and leaves Argostoli at 13:45pm. This was actually more than enough time to look around as Argostoli is small but nice. The timings also mean you're likely to see the turtles in Argostoli harbour. As we were leaving for the airport at 6pm we were able to move rooms for 40 euros so we were able to make the most of the sun and have a shower before we left. We would definitely return if we came back to Kefalonia!

On the whole we were disappointed with this hotel. We booked as an EasyJet Holiday package. We paid £1110 for a 4 night package break. We arrived early afternoon, excited to unpack & start our relaxing mini-break. We were allocated a studio room in Block B. What can I say, awful outdated accommodation. Archaic wooden furniture, a scruffy bathroom with a door that didn’t even close. The hob & kitchen ‘area’ were tiny & like something from the Stone Age. We were extremely unhappy with the room for the price we paid for it. I was that unhappy, I was prepared to book flights home to the U.K. the following morning. Myself & my husband complained at reception & they were pushing back to avoid giving a complimentary solution. We did end up in a room in the main hotel, but my husband had to pay €200 for this to happen. They did give us a complimentary drink from the bar whilst we were waiting. Even in the new room, we had a kettle, but no cups or glasses, had to go & ask for these. The included breakfast was tasty, albeit limited selection. We are a couple of evenings from the a La carte menu, the food choice was good & tasted lovely. Overall the location was lovely & very peaceful. The pool area was peaceful with plenty of sun loungers. We went to relax in the games area in the evening after dinner. The beach area was small, but still enough room without feeling packed in. Two small tavernas at the beach, but didn’t use them as they closed at 8pm. The staff were lovely & on the whole helpful. Receptionist got us booked on to the island tour which we thoroughly enjoyed. The hotel was kept nice & clean. We wouldn’t stay here again, would choose to stay in Lassi which has more choice of things to do in an evening.

The beach is small and full of seaweed. The rooms in blocks are very noisy and you can hear people going to the loo. The cutlery is not cleaned. The location is poor

This hotel is perfect for a quiet relaxing break, it’s in quite remote location but there is a beach close by. The staff are excellent and friendly, nothing is too much trouble and everyone greets you with a smile. Food is very good and plentiful, as others have mentioned it is a little dated but immaculately clean. We had a lovely week here and would definitely recommend it. The nearby beach has sun beds and parasols for 20 euros per day, which seems a lot until you realise for that you can use the paddle boards, kayaks and snorkels, this facility is run by a really friendly man.

Breathtaking views of the sea & mountains. A well run hotel with a good size pool area ~ bar & restaurant. Very helpful staff , nothing was too much trouble. Basic facilities in our room , a fridge but no kettle so pack a travel kettle. In our block (C) the balconies are extremely small & very close to your neighbour so privacy is compromised . Be warned the internet is patchy. There is one bus a day ( The bus stop is outside the hotel) into town & the local taxi service has a capped fare of €20 , I’d advice hiring a car or moped as the location is quite remote. There is a small mini market which is a 20 minute up hill walk nearby. Breakfast is between 8~10 buffet style & perfectly adequate. You can get food from the bar during the day & the restaurant offers a good menu in the evening. The beach near the hotel is very small however a taxi driver dropped us off at a lovely beach called Makris during our stay which had lovely golden sand & beautifully clear blue water. Sun-beds & parasols are not cheap €20 seems to be the norm some venues wanting €30!! ( bare in mind you can get the same for €7.50 in Cyprus ) All in all we had a nice break away for a week. Special thanks to Christina who looked up a cocktail to make for my wife. If you’re looking for a week away to recharge your batteries this is an ideal place to stay.

We’ve just returned from a short break here and genuinely can’t fault the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant several times and the food was always gorgeous. Bar prices are reasonable and the local wine is cheap and tasty! The breakfast buffet was small, but everything was fresh and varied everyday. The pool area was lovely, with direct access to the bar and more than enough loungers and sunshades. Beautiful views of the bay from the grassed area by the pool too. There was also a pool table and table tennis in the pool area. The hotel itself was spacious and the open plan dining and bar area was very nice. Our room was a little dated, but clean and perfectly appointed and we were lucky to have a view of the pool and the bay from our balcony. Our only real recommendation is to hire a car as there is nothing in the area around the hotel, aside from a very nice beach, 5 minutes walk away. There is a handy bus that takes you directly to Argostoli for €2, but it only goes once a day, so a car would be beneficial!

Was a pleasant surprise, we only booked two weeks before departure usually do a bit more research The hotel had a lovely location with a small beach (stoned) only 300 yards down a steep concrete road, there are two small tavernas there, they where both closed when I visited but would be open now. The hotel was clean, rooms nice we had a sea view, staff all very friendly, we ate out most nights but all we ate in the hotel was good food.
