Hotel Hanshin Annex Osaka Reviews

I’ve been spending a whole week staying in Osaka mainly for working. First, the location is good, near the Fukushima station and not far from the Umeda. The room is a bit tiny (compared to other hotels I stayed in Kansai area with comparable price) but very clean and well-designed. Regarding the noise, it’s acceptable if you live in higher floors (can still hear the noise when there’s train passing by). One issue is that the washing machines are always too busy, especially in the midnight. The reception can help collect the clothes when it’s ready, but still I have experienced an earlier stop once (didn’t set password only for that time). I appreciate this service but would be better to prepare more machines. Bonus: There are lots of izakayas nearby with delicious food and nice service.

Hotel was located near the train station. Very convenient for travellers.

Overall, great place to stay for the price and its location. It's one station away from the busy Osaka/Umeda area - walkable within 15-20 mins to Osaka JR/Nishi-Umeda station. There are quite a number of small izakaya/restaurants around the hotel and 2 supermarkets and a 7-11 nearby! I would stay here again :-)

Locations is very near to the train station. Just 2minutes walk. There is a supermarket below the hotel, is very convenient. They have 24hours iron room and laundry. Around the hotel also have a lots of local restaurants and bar.. is very easy to look for foods and drink. If you are going to USJ, is just 4 stops to the USJ station. And 1 stop to osaka station and reach the Umeda Shopping centre.

I stayed for 6 nights. Location is very very good. Room is clean, able to change towel every day but room will be cleaned every 3-4 nights (It would be good if cleaning room every 1-2 days). Able to keep 29" for 2 luggages under the bed.

The hotel is located near Fukushima station (Osaka Loop Line). It can be easily confused by another Hotel Hanshin Osaka which is a few minutes away by foot. The room is fairly small for a family of three. The breakfast is delicious and thanks to the front desk for helping with storing luggage (free). Good for one night stay before heading to USJ.

The room itself is smaller than I expected, but the bed is big enough and there is everything what I needed. There are bunch of restaurants and bars on the street right in front of the hotel, and the only problem is difficult to choose one from them :)

Convenient for traveler as the hotel is within 50m of JR Fukushima station and 200m within non-JR Hanshin Fukushima subway station. Many small restaurants and places to eat nearby which are cheaper than the hotel meals at the 1st floor. Reception for check-in/out is at the 2nd floor. Our room with queen bed is small but accessible with creative use of space (eg. Luggage can be stored under the bed). One downside is the water tap outside the bath room does not come with hot water which is important in winter.

The reception is not helpful at all. Don't expect she will help you to take something to the room. Every thing, from towels to paper, you request she will ask you to go to front desk and take it yourself. However, the first time I went to the front desk, hitting the bell just could not summon the staff. You have to go back to the room and give them a call. In the second time you go to the front desk, they will finally show up.

Clean room with excellent service. I booked here for first leg of my trip and decided to book again on my return to osaka. Safe for female solo travellers.

Hotel Hanshin-Annex is an excellent location for any tourist that wants easy access to both Osaka City and University Studios Japan. Our room was actually quite small, but you get what you pay for in a city this expensive. That being said the space was immaculately clean and every part of the room was well thought-out, despite it being small. Every floor has a vending machine (that has beer and Suntory highballs, by the way) and an ice dispenser. Washer/dryer combo is also completely free. Finally, if you like traditional Japanese breakfast, definitely get it - it was absolutely delicious.

All employee are so nice and kind. The hotel was really clean. But little bit it has smell that I can understand. After I turn on air conditinor, that smell was gone. Total score I will give is 4 to 5 star. It was good hotel although it was a small room. If you re taller than any other man. You could feel uncomforable a little bit. I enjoyed the stay. There a lot of nice restaurant around the hotel. But be sure that they speak almost Japanese. I am glad some waiter and waiteress can speak English and Korean.😄

Really really enjoyed our stay here. Incredibly close to Fukushima station which is a single stop from Osaka station. The location was brilliant and loads of food places to try. We even managed to get a takeout at a couple when our little one year old had had a long day. The staff were brilliant. Okumura San and Kobayashi San came out to help whenever they could and helped me navigate through where and how to order shinkansen tickets and locate needed accessories for the family. The staff came and gave the room a quick tidy each day when asked. Overall, have already recommended to friends. Thank you!
