A great stay. David and Lianne are new to the role, friendly and enthusiastic about the hotel. Views are second to none looking over the Atlantic and across to Barra. Excellent food and a great room. Tell David to keep off the chocolate.

Wonderful views, warm welcome and a lovely brunch by the sea. There is a public bar and lounge bar and outdoor seating area overlooking sea with islands in the distance. The place was quiet as out of season and I hope it gets busy in the summer as it deserves to thrive in such a lovely location - quite unique.

Booked dinner here while staying close by in our caravan. Was a little nervous having seen some negative reviews regarding previous management. Our fears were soon dispelled as we were warmly welcomed on arrival and the new manager was lovely and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The meals we had were delicious and would certainly recommend eating here if you're in the area. The new manager only arrived 4 weeks ago but is definitely having a positive impact.

Went for food and a few drinks. Hotel spotless, food was delicious and staff were beyond attentive. All Really reasonably priced too which is a bonus! Definitely returning when we come back to South Uist. Already recommended to various people on our travels already. Thanks very much!

We enjoyed our short stay at Polochar Inn. The Manager and Manageress were extremely attentive and even made us lunch boxes for the next day - as sadly our ferry back to the mainland was rescheduled to 4am!!!! We didn't get the chance to eat breakfast but our evening meal was excellent.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Polochar Inn! The setting is beautiful as you would expect, but the warmness of Leanne and Dave was what really made the hotel stand out. Straight away we were made to feel right at home and considering they have only been managing the hotel for a week it was incredible! The food was delicious too, we're already lining up our next visit. Thank you for having us and we can't wait to see what you make of the place!

David, Leann and all the staff made me feel especially welcome and they were incredibly accommodating. The service was excellent and my room was perfect. The food was top notch and hotel I located in area of stunning beauty. Would highly recommend and I will return.

We stopped here for dinner one night, met Dave & Leanne who were so welcoming! This is a stunning place and an amazing place to eat! I had the lobster and it was the best I have ever had Would 100% recommend and return again Thanks you Stefan & Amber

We had a wonderful evening meal in the restaurant and can honestly say it was beautifully cooked and one of the best we have ever had. Our son pushed the boat out and ordered the lobster. It was superb. He's had it in other places and says he now understands what all the fuss is about.
