fantastic motel in a great safe location, very close to town centre, restaurants, service stations etc, close to main road to brisbane. Highly recommend staying here

We came up from Brisbane just for one night for a very early morning sports match. This place turned out to be perfect because: 1. It was a very spacious 1 bed apartment. 2. It was extremely clean. 3. It looked like it was brand new. 4. The location was excellent, a minute's drive from the dining precinct in town 5. It was quiet 6. There was on site sheltered parking 7. The was a lot of CCTV which made the complex feel secure. There was no pool/gym etc but we weren't looking for that

The staff were absolutely LOVELY and so helpful!! The only disappointment was the “breakfast included” - it cost me $50 extra to include it, but when I got there it was literally a $50 voucher? So … felt like a bit of a rip off. No unlimited coffee or juice like I have received from other places - next time I wouldn’t include it and would spend $50 elsewhere if there was no bonus to including it in the room price. Otherwise the stay was great!

We had a wonderful stay at Garden city. Amenities were very clean, beds comfortable and staff friendly. Would recommend this place to others, however Trip .com would have you believe there is a pool, restaurant and bar as per the photos matched with this place. There most certainly is NOT, this is misleading and not fair for the owners.

What a wonderful place to stay. Picked it only because it was close to a friend's place. Highfields is a beautiful place with more than 4 gardens close by and just a short drive to the centre of Toowoomba. My wife was apprehensive about my choice but with the benefit of hindsight she says I couldn't have chosen better.

Great location, clean and well presented property, we were impressed by room size and the mini bar was awesome - haven’t seen a mini bar so enormous since the 1980’s…although we didn’t use any - but wow - a full box of cheezels We would definitely stay again.

The highlander has amazing beds and the spa are the best in South East QLD. Clean and tidy. Tamara is so friendly and helpful. The new owners are a little rude

The service was very friendly, the owners and staff are eager to assist with any requests and like to get to know their clients, hence we rebooked on two other occasions. There is no food, but good food outlets and takeaways nearby. There is tea/coffee, biscuits and a microwave, plates & cutlery, mugs, water & wine glasses. The beds are very comfortable, rooms are a good size with air-con, TV & couch- all the usual extras, shampoo, shower gels, hair dryer, iron and small wardrobe. The bathrooms are very small but work for short stays. Swimming pool available, which we did not use due to short stay. Private car parking is off road and surprisingly quiet due to proximity to the main road. City is within walking distance. I realise that the motel is of an older style, however one tiny concern for older folks is the small step in and out of the bathroom especially if using at night and a step from the car up to the path outside the room. Perhaps a reminder to 'mind the step' - or a Fluro strip to make it obvious might avoid a 'trip'. The prices are very affordable.

Top-notch stay! Ruthven Street Motor Inn exceeded expectations—extremely clean rooms, a quiet and comfortable atmosphere, and an ideal central location close to everything in town. Will definitely be back next time I'm in area!

Good quiet place owners are lovely when on arrival big areas inside and out neat and well looked after
