@@travelwithleongthianThe location of this hotel is superb. It is only a short walking distance away from the Metro station. Within walking distance are several restaurants which serve excellent meals at reasonable prices. Opposite the hotel is a fresh fruits & vegetables market which is worth visiting.
The front office staff are very helpful and will go all out to assist you. They gave useful advice on places to visit and good restaurants to go for meals.

GGuest UserCheck in and check out went smoothly as long as you can converse in Chinese, I used Google Translate and it worked well. We were in a king room and it was quite spacious, there was sufficient room to keep our toiletries by the sink and our luggage. We had a sofa, table and small chair in our room. There is a smart toilet with a heated seat. The shower pressure is really good. There is one English speaking channel. I liked that there was no carpet in the room but laminated floors. A real bonus was free laundry and they had 5 washers and dryers on the 12th floor. The hotel is within walking distance to MixC mall which is very modern and there were many eateries in the mall. Another bonus is the Songshanbei intercity railway station which is about 200m from the hotel. You can buy a ticket very cheaply and ride to Guangzhou South railway station but it is really slow, it took about 1 hour. If you are unlucky you could be standing but if you leave around 10ish you should be able to get a seat. They offer breakfast for a fee which we did not partake in. Within walking distance there is a Starbucks and McDonald’s inside the mall. I would recommend this hotel to others because of the many eateries, intercity railway station, laundry facilities and cleanliness.i

GGuest UserOutstanding hotel, highly recommended. Well-located within walking distance of Dongguan’s 33 Town entertainment district, and not too far from the main railway station.
Rooms are large, clean, and very comfortable, well-stocked with lots of useful items. The bathrooms are clean and well-presented, with the full range of amenities.
Breakfast is excellent, with a wide range of foods, all well-cooked and delicious. I didn’t have time to try the hotel restaurants but I’m sure they’re excellent too.
The staff are efficient, polite and discreet. Check-in and check-out were both quick and easy. Amy was particularly helpful - thank you! An aiyi delivered a gift of fruit and a soft toy, which we liked, and the doorman was very polite too.
I will definitely be back!

The biggest strength of this hotel is its unbeatable location. You’re steps away from McDonald's and Luckin Coffee for quick bites and caffeine. A well-stocked mall is right beside the hotel, making it super easy to grab daily necessities. The best part? A lively night market is directly opposite the hotel! This makes finding delicious, affordable local food incredibly convenient any time of the evening. The whole area is very 热闹 (rènào - bustling/energetic) – perfect if you want to be in the heart of the action.
Cleanliness: 3/5 – Okay for the Price, Manage Expectations
The general cleanliness is acceptable, if you adjust your expectations. It's definitely not a 5-star luxury experience, but for a budget/mid-range stay, it's passable and reasonably maintained. Don't expect immaculate perfection, but the basics are covered.
Room & Atmosphere: 2/5 – Persistent Smoke Smell
The major downside, especially in the rooms and hallways, is a strong and pervasive smoke smell. It's quite noticeable and doesn't dissipate easily. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common issue in many hotels within the region, but it's definitely present and unpleasant here if you're sensitive to it.
Breakfast: 1/5 – Strongly Not Recommended / Unhygienic
Avoid the breakfast option. Hygiene standards here are very poor. I personally observed small cockroaches crawling on the tables in the breakfast area. This is completely unacceptable and a major health red flag. Do yourself a favor and skip it entirely. Thankfully, with McDonald's, Luckin, the mall food court, and the fantastic night market opposite, you have plenty of much better (and cleaner) alternatives nearby.
Overall:
This hotel is all about the location, location, location. If being in a super convenient, vibrant area with easy access to food, coffee, and shopping is your top priority, and you're on a budget, it serves that purpose. The cleanliness is tolerable for the category. However, the strong smoke smell in the rooms and corridors is a significant drawback, and the breakfast is dangerously unhygienic (cockroach sighting confirmed). Choose this hotel for the prime spot if you can tolerate the smoke and definitely plan to eat breakfast elsewhere.
Who should stay: Budget-conscious travelers prioritizing an unbeatable, lively location who aren't sensitive to smoke smells and will skip the hotel breakfast.

Service: We had a few minor issues during our stay, but the concierge was very helpful and did their best to assist us. Satisfied!
Room: Although a bit dated, the room was well-maintained. I forgot to take photos. Overall, I'm happy with my stay and would definitely book here again.

The service was warm and attentive; the front desk staff was very responsive to all our requests. I highly recommend it for your 51 (May Day) holiday trip!

CCathrin.GThe hotel provides a wide range of amenities that made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. I especially appreciated the daily housekeeping service, which kept the room clean and fresh throughout my visit. The room itself was quite spacious, even though I booked one of the more budget-friendly options, which was a pleasant surprise.
One area that could be improved is the lighting control in the room. There is no central switch to dim or turn off the lights, so I had to walk around the room to switch off different lights before going to sleep. Additionally, the bathroom layout separates the toilet from the shower area, requiring a few steps to move between them.
The hotel provides clothes washing services but it’s chargeable and the price is on high side. One piece of normal ladies pant cost RMB50, male pant cost RMB45. If you give the clothes the housekeeping staff before 11am, they will send the clothes back to your room within the same day.
Pullman Hotel also offers several in-house dining options, including Chinese and Japanese-style restaurants within the premises, which made dining very convenient. If you order food delivery , they have the robot machine to send your food to the room, just make sure you indicated the room number clearly. The lift required a room card to access hence the dispatcher will not be able to send the food to your room.
Hotel staff is helpful, I requested them to collect the parcel on my behalf from the locker located at basement and they acting it very fast. Keeping them for me even though the check in date was a week later.
Overall, it was still a very pleasant and comfortable stay at Pullma.

GGuest UserThe environment is quiet and serene, with a subtle Chinese garden style. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped (it would be even better if they provided two pairs of slippers for showering). Kids enjoyed playing in the water, while adults worked out and hiked.
The service was a bit lacking, though. The service robot was slow to respond, and we had to chase down staff multiple times for assistance, likely due to understaffing.
During the May Day holiday, check-in was really slow; we didn't get our room key until after 6:30 PM. Thankfully, the manager was flexible and arranged for the kids to go swimming first, and even gave us some drink vouchers (for a Coke, Sprite, or instant coffee) for those who weren't swimming.

AAkabaka848The hotel's location is great, close to the business district, and it's well-renovated with a good price. You can tell it's recently refurbished as soon as you enter; it's very clean, and the hygiene standards are met. However, some room equipment is a bit old; it seems only the surface was renovated, not the internal wiring and devices. There are no power outlets by the bed, so I had to charge my phone under the desk. Also, the air conditioning isn't very effective, and the controls are surprisingly old-fashioned rotary knobs from twenty years ago, with yellowed plastic. I've stayed at the Huilihua next door, and they have digital control panels. It's really rare to see an AC unit with traditional rotary switches these days.
That said, the hygiene is genuinely good, and the restaurants downstairs are decent, so overall, it was a good experience.
Welcome fruit: It was mentioned, but I couldn't find it and forgot about it by the time I left.
