BBrisbaneTomThis hotel has some very good features that I was very happy with and some less important issues that are not deal breakers.
First, the very good: USB charge ports (USB-A, USB-C) on both sides of the bed; absolute black-out curtains keep the room totally dark; both firm and soft pillows supplied; controllable air-conditioning/heating; a window that can be opened; stable temperature hot water; friendly staff; fantastic location (quiet, clean neighborhood, lots of restaurants, close to metro); large shower area with choice of shower head; firm (but not rock-hard) mattress; four bottles of drinking water supplied each day; and, most importantly, all rooms are non-smoking. This last point is more common in the major cities but not expected in Dongguan. (Beware of other hotels with ”some non-smoking rooms” - this means that both smoking AND not smoking in these rooms is permitted.) I did not sample the breakfast menu. The not-so-good in the room is the limited control of internal room lighting. The minimal setting is bright enough for most use and there is no way to set the internal lighting very low. There is no pen/paper supplied, and no phone in the room. You are expected to use WeChat to communicate with front-desk. The good thing about this is WeChat's builtin translation facility. The staff don't speak English (and neither do I expect them to as this isn't really a hotel for foreign travelers). There is a self-service laundry with four washing machine and drier sets on level 3A. These are free to use and (apparently) have self-dosing detergent. I never had to wait to use this facility. Level 3A (the forth floor, in reality) is shared by the hotel with a billiards club so the hotel lifts are often occupied with non-hotel customers who do smoke, so this level can smell stale at times. (I stayed on another floor and experienced no issues with air quality. In summary, I would certainly stay here again the next time I visit Dongguan.

LLnosBathroom are equipped with both shower and large bath. You can enjoy a relaxing bath, full of roses. We prepared our own, I think you can ask for them to prepare it for you. Here you will get a nice view, especially at night. The location is good as you're next to a mall where you can find a big supermarket if you go upstairs. There are lots of restaurants near this hotel, a KFC open 24/7, McDonalds until 22pm, chinese restaurants closes very late so if you want more tasty and nutritious food try it out :) I recommend you try out the cooked chicken from the restaurant that has an oven on the right side of the entrance. This chicken is on the first page of their menu, it's a must try ! if you just need a snack, there are convenience stores too

PPatHotel gives me big surprise in the room for my birthday celebration trip. Thanks! Service is really good and staff are polite. One suggestion to improve is to install USB charger as my phone cannot get charged over the night since I don’t have the electric plug for my USB line. Other than that, I do have a pleasant and relaxing stay with the hotel.

The Ibis Hotel in Dongguan is a hidden gem. This is our second time staying at this hotel, and we will definitely choose it again for our future visits to Dongguan. We opted for the panoramic room, which offers a bit more space. The room is well-equipped with all the essentials. Considering the price you pay, the value is exceptional. The breakfast provided is not only delicious but also offers a wide variety of options at a very reasonable price. The reception staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. We adore this hotel and will definitely be returning in the future.

阝阝東氵又丰一止hotel location is pretty good, in between Rainbow District and Humen Walking Street, the hotel building is part of a condo cluster on top of a shipping mall, so the lobby is not be ground floor but 3rd floor. when taking taxi, ask driver to search for shopping mall 君乐汇 drop off, will be much easier.
rooms are modern and spacious, aircon and water pressure for shower is good, housekeeping is top notch, rooms are clean and beds are comfy, pillows are on the softer side, can ask for hard pillows or extras when required.
hotel allows late check out until 4pm, that's pretty good for those with late flights out. those who fly out of Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, there's a bus that can be taken from 虎门候机楼 bus station that's at another hotel.
hotel amenities are good, used the gym, pretty basic but enough for a good workout, swimming pool is open 7am to 9pm, closed in between from 12-2pm. have to bring own swimming cap or buy one at counter. the pool is run by a club and shared between hotel and condo clusters so weekends and day time will be crowded. pool water is not treated so best to use goggles.
shopping mall below hotel makes eating very convenient but head towards outside area near the walking street, lots of local food at cheaper prices.
overall will recommend for stay.
sightseeing wise, Humen sights are not concentrated, hotel location is pretty central to head out to different places.

MmeiwentiGreat Hotel with Excellent Facilities, But Poor Tennis Court Experience
We stayed at this hotel recently and overall had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is located just 700 meters from the metro, making it easy to reach. The property is spacious and includes an outdoor pool, indoor pool, sauna, gym, a tennis court (details below), a large dining hall, and two separate massage areas offering various treatments.
Room & Service:
The rooms are clean and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a larger room upon arrival. The staff were friendly and polite.
Food:
We’d rate the food 3.5 out of 5. The buffet is advertised as European, but the dishes lean heavily toward Chinese cuisine. Breakfast wasn’t to our taste, so we decided to skip dinner.
Massage:
There are two massage salons. We booked a foot massage, but the therapists ended up giving us an almost full-body massage, paying extra attention to sore areas. It was a wonderful experience — 5 out of 5.
Pools & Sauna:
Both pools are open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. If you prefer fewer people, we recommend the indoor pool around 7 a.m. and the outdoor one around 2 p.m. The pools were clean and warm, and we appreciated the Swedish sauna in the locker room. Again — 5 stars.
Gym:
The gym is well-equipped and never crowded. Open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. — another 5 stars.
Tennis Court:
Unfortunately, this was the only major disappointment. Despite several attempts to book and show up at the scheduled time, no staff were present. Phone calls were ignored or we were told, “I don’t have time to talk.” We eventually got a refund (booked via *******), but the experience was frustrating and unprofessional. Rating: 1 out of 5.
Overall:
Aside from the tennis court issue, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend this hotel to others. Great amenities, clean rooms, and a peaceful environment.

AAnonymous UserEverything was fine except the new smart TV, it was never an issue to turn it on with the TV channels to watch in my previous visits. However, the same smart TV of the same brand, Xiaomi wasn't operated easily as before. I needed to go to the search page and look for the source function and then press the proper selection just to watch TV channels. This is rather annoying and wonder why it happened to me on this visit. Should they all be operated the same???
Another funny thing is a new piece of furniture was placed in the middle of the room (see attached photos). It obviously doesn't blend in with the decor of the room and it is not even brand new. No harm done but wonder the necessity of such. 😅😅
Amazingly there's a mysterious box behind the TV,. It has no label or description. It only has a QR code.
Finally, a new reception was introduced in the center of the lobby and it is more eye catching comparing to the old one

8852 Serendipitous LifeI had high expectations for this hotel stay. Sadly, it fell far below my expectations. What made the stay worth it, was only the room, but it still had some problems. The hotel is located in a nice building, but it is so empty and barely had staff that were able to help us. The hotel looked nice but functioned adequately.
After booking a prestige suite, I was excited to go. But I was let down when I arrived. The bathroom had a ton of water in the bathroom floor when we checked in. Very few amenities in the room. The mini bar was empty, many outlets did not work, one of the TVs did not function, and it was difficult to understand how to turn on all the lights. The phone did not work throughout my entire stay. After speaking to the front desk, they said they would send repairman to come up, but nothing was ever fixed. Most of the amenities were cheap plastic that broke when used. 
Many of the lounges in restaurants closed earlier than posted and when I had arrived to eat or drink, I was told the lounge or restaurant was closed.
Overall, if you just need a hotel room for the night and are not looking for a five star luxury experience this hotel will be great. But if you have high expectations and pay for a luxury suite do not expect much from the hotel. Personally, I won’t be returning when I go back to this city.
