GGuest UserThe luckiest thing about traveling to Kaifeng is that I chose this homestay! The location is simply amazing. It takes only 3 minutes to walk to the Qingming Riverside Park. In the morning, you can easily catch the first wave of admission to avoid the crowds. In the evening, after watching the performance of ”The Great Song Dynasty: Tokyo Dreams”, you can take a walk back to the room to rest. The room is clean and warm, the layout is full of Song Dynasty elements, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and it is super safe to live in. The boss is warm and considerate, and also recommended super authentic food shops around. The cost-effectiveness is super high, I will stay here next time I come to Kaifeng!

GGuest UserAfter a long search, I chose this hotel and was delighted to find its location absolutely superb. The room facilities were clean, modern, and exactly as pictured. It was less than a two-minute walk to the Yingbin Gate of Shangqing Garden. Stepping out of the hotel, you're right by the riverbank, and the evening views are especially beautiful. After a tiring afternoon exploring the garden, we could relax in the small courtyard and enjoy the scenery. Since we arrived quite late, the owner personally helped us with our luggage, which was incredibly welcoming. He also gave us recommendations for places to eat. Our first night was on the second floor, where we enjoyed the view from the balcony. Due to high demand, we extended our stay and moved to a ground-floor room with a small courtyard for the second night. Both rooms had their own unique charm. I rarely leave reviews, but I truly felt the owner's dedication to running this place, so I wanted to show my support.

GGuest UserThe place has a home feel to it. It's a small hotel owned by a couple. The owners are nice and generous and offer tips for various things, and allow me to use their humble kitchen on the first floor for making my special diets three meals a day. My room is kind of small and bare ( no TV) but most times I was out a lot so never felt confined. The room is clean. There is free laundry though you have to hang to dry naturally. Location is great since it's near the middle of the city so I can walk to visit landmarks and shop different stores. There are restaurants nearby where you can eat delicious local food. Though there is a middle school next to the hotel and they have a loud PA system that starts to play a bit music followed by announcements from 7 in the morning to like 9 pm. But it doesn't interfere with my sleep since I wake up early. All in all, I had a wonderful experience staying at the hotel and would strongly recommend.

DDaguoshibaniuI visited Wansuishan Martial Arts City during the Qingming Festival and chose the Mercure Hotel because it's very close by. Although the price was much higher due to the holiday, it was incredibly convenient.
Facilities: The hotel's facilities are considered excellent for Wansuishan. However, there was one particular annoyance: I could hear singing from outside until midnight, and it was quite loud. I later realized it was coming from the Wansuishan scenic area, but the hotel windows didn't have good soundproofing.
Service: The service generally felt good. What particularly impressed me was how delicious the Hu La Tang (spicy soup) was at breakfast, and there were many kinds of Henan specialty staple foods that paired perfectly with it, making for a very satisfying meal.
I would still choose to stay here next time I visit Wansuishan Martial Arts City because the location is fantastic; you can walk to the scenic area entrance in just five minutes.

The service was also very good. The lady at the front desk was very gentle. The location is also very convenient, very close to the scenic spots. Breakfast is very rich and tastes good 👍

Finally, let me talk about my feelings about traveling to Kaifeng this time. Kaifeng taxis are regular, food and drink are cheap, and the ticket prices for scenic spots are reasonable. GGuest UserThe environment is beautiful, the parking lot is spacious, and the rooms are large and luxurious. The service was very attentive. The lake view room offered a great view, and I really wished I could have stayed a few more days. My only complaint was that it was a bit cold. Although they provided an electric heater, it kept tripping the circuit breaker after a short while. The air conditioning panel was set to 32 degrees Celsius, but the room displayed 27 degrees, and I measured 25 degrees at the desk. Since lake view rooms are windy in winter, it felt quite cold. I suggest increasing the air conditioning outlet temperature by a couple of degrees in winter or ensuring the electric heaters can operate continuously to provide guests with a warm and comfortable resting environment.

GGuest UserHotel location is good (very close to the high-speed rail station, 200 meters in front is the museum and the main road to and from Zhengzhou and Kaifeng Zhengkai Avenue).
The hotel is fully equipped and very new. The setting in the lobby and guest rooms on the first floor is thoughtful and intimate. The service of the staff is also very good, making people feel at home. Self-driving parking is free. Booked family room, the room is very large and spacious, the decoration is very warm and chic, there are two beds, the bed is very wide is 1.5 meters wide. In short, if you come to Kaifeng again, you will book again.

GGuest UserIt's amazing to find such a great hotel in the old city center of Kaifeng! 🏙️ The location on Zhongshan Road is absolutely prime, offering a peaceful retreat despite being in the heart of the bustling area. The parking lot is spacious, with plenty of charging stations for various car brands, so no waiting. The room service staff are fantastic – very responsive and always happy to help. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent too, ensuring a really good night's sleep. Seriously, this is the best choice out there!

GGuest UserThe hotel is pretty nice! The landlady is a nice woman, we used weixin to communicate, there were no problems with it. The room itself is absolutely the same as it is at the photo. It was cold from the very beginning but the air conditioning worked properly and made the room very warm in 30 mins. The street where the hotel is located looks like a quiet Chinese suburbs, don’t afraid of nose, there is absolutely no noise there. It’s near the Henan University and Gulou street. We recommend this place!
