MM31609****It's really hard to find any faults even if you nitpick.
The day before check-in, a service group chat was created. On check-in day, the butler picked me up at Xiaobeimen (North Gate). The walk from Xiaobeimen to the guesthouse is less than ten minutes, roughly half flat commercial street and half uphill. The butler not only helped with my suitcase but even ”snatched” my small handbag!
During my stay, breakfast and afternoon tea were served daily at set times. We could eat at the guesthouse's private viewing area or have the butler deliver it to our room. In the evening, we were reminded to take a bath; there were Yao baths and bubble baths to choose from. The butler would come to the room and lay out disposable bath bags.
For photography, the guesthouse has some free ethnic costumes to wear. There are trendy beds and rooftops on the terrace, and the butler can take photos for us. They even help with lighting after dark.
Very satisfied, will definitely come again.
YYakabaweishouThe hotel's location is excellent. We took the scenic bus from Ximen to the observation deck, and a hotel staff member helped us with our luggage to the hotel. Coming down from the observation deck, there's a relatively steep path, but the advantage is that the hotel is high enough, nestled halfway up the mountain, so you don't need to return to the observation deck for night views – the view is just like in the picture. If you choose a hotel too low, you might be bothered by music and barbecue smoke at night.
The path down to the commercial street is quite gentle, so even with average stamina, you can go back and forth twice a day. In the afternoon, we returned to the hotel to relax and enjoy the complimentary afternoon tea. There was also free sweet soup in the evening.
Furthermore, all the bath amenities were L'Occitane Verbena scented. Aside from the hot water being a bit slow, everything else was perfect.
珍珍惜现在Great location near the local museum at the north gate. It’s a steep climb around 100 steps to the mid valley hotel. It’s worth the ascent as you are rewarded with breathtaking view of the whole village. This minsu is one of the rare few built with concrete, so no worries that it’s not soundproof. Moreover if you are a cat lover, you can play with more than 2 dozen cats there.
Their courteous and friendly staff will contact you (provided you have a local number ) in advance to help with heavy luggage, else a porter delivery service at a nominal fee of 15 CNY at the entrance can save you the trouble of lugging it on cobblestone footpath on the way from the bus stop. It’s a short walk of 500 m to reach the meeting place.
The minsu is well furnished with aircon and the usual amenities. No breakfast is served but there is no lack of food nearby.
GGuest UserService: The day before check-in, the housekeeper contacted us to provide thoughtful check-in instructions and parking advice. From the moment we arrived at the scenic area's ticket gate, the housekeeper helped us with our luggage all the way to our room, and on our way back, they also helped us carry our bags to the exit. They even upgraded us to a spacious duplex room, thanks to Cola the housekeeper – truly excellent! 👍 Upon arrival, we were given an electronic or paper map of the scenic area, and they explained recommended sightseeing routes and attractions. We also enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea after checking in, perfect for photos. Most importantly, I had originally planned a professional photoshoot, but ended up DIY-ing two outfits from the hotel, which turned out beautifully, saving me hundreds on photography fees!
Hygiene and Environment: No need to elaborate, the location is superb, right at the viewing platform. You arrive as soon as you get off the sightseeing bus, which is very convenient. The best part is that you don't even need to leave the guesthouse to enjoy the stunning panoramic views of the Miao Village from your own room's viewing balcony or the hotel lobby's terrace.
Booking this place outside of holidays is definitely a steal – it truly lives up to its reputation! Many thanks to Cola the housekeeper for their thoughtful care.
YYujindaiwangThe views were absolutely incredible, even better than those from the observation deck! The service was also excellent. Since the guesthouse is located on the mountain, a butler provided pick-up and drop-off service for check-in and check-out.
The butler carried our luggage with impressive speed, while we, empty-handed, still felt a bit wobbly from the climb.
By the way, the Miao Village itself is quite commercialized and there wasn't much to do. Most of the joy from our trip to the Miao Village came from staying at this guesthouse.
HHailiwoniuI highly recommend staying at this guesthouse. The location is absolutely fantastic, both day and night! It's truly the best vantage point in the entire scenic area. Any designated observation decks in the area simply can't compare. The photos and videos I took from my guesthouse balcony turned out amazing. The facilities are excellent, and the environment is exceptionally clean. Most notably, the owner's service attitude is just wonderful. Having visited numerous scenic spots across the country, I consider this to be the number one guesthouse I've ever stayed at.
GGuest UserComfortable and Convenient Stay with Thoughtful Host
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room is new and equipped with smart controls, making it very comfortable and modern. It is the same as the picture. They had a lift too which is suitable for seniors and children.
The owner is fantastic — they assisted us with several parcel collections from Taobao, which was a huge help since collecting them ourselves would have been inconvenient. At the last minute, they even helped purchase a birthday cake for my nephew from the city, which we truly appreciated.
The location is excellent, with plenty of food options nearby. It’s also a great alternative for families who want to explore the area without staying in the Ancient Town — dragging luggage and changing buses there can be challenging. Whenever we were tired, we could simply take a Didi back to the hotel, and it drops you right at the door.
Overall, this is a highly recommended stay for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a host who goes the extra mile!
GGuest UserThe hotel staff were very friendly and the hygiene was excellent. Our room offered panoramic views of the Miao Village, which was fantastic. Overall, a great experience! Thumbs up! 😄👍🏻
JJinkismA beautiful and memorable stay right in the heart of the old town. Although the accommodation is located higher up and requires climbing some stairs, it was not tiring at all because the staff kindly helped carry our luggage all the way from the bottom to the hotel.
The room itself was stunning, with large windows that offered the most breathtaking panoramic view of the old town. Honestly, it felt like one of the best viewpoints in the area. Every corner was picture-perfect.
The design was especially impressive, blending beautifully with the historic atmosphere through elegant vintage-style decor while still providing modern comforts. The amenities were complete, thoughtfully arranged, and equipped with smart automatic features. The shower was amazing too, with strong water pressure that made it extra satisfying.
The owner was warm and friendly, offering great local restaurant recommendations that made exploring even better. The location was also excellent, just a short walk from a nearby scenic viewpoint.
Perfect for anyone who wants charm, comfort, beautiful views, and an authentic old town experience.
GGuest UserThis trip to Kaili was originally planned to include the Miao Village of a Thousand Households, but due to traffic congestion, we decided to go to Langde instead. I'm so glad I chose the Ru Ni Suo Yuan B&B. The B&B was reasonably priced, a real bargain considering the skyrocketing hotel prices in Guizhou. The location was excellent, convenient for getting around, very close to the sightseeing bus stop, and directly opposite the first row of the twelve traditional Miao banquet halls. The balcony had a beautiful balustrade with stunning views. The twin room had two 1.5-meter double beds with mattresses of just the right firmness, making for a very comfortable sleep. I slept soundly until morning. The bathroom had a smart toilet, a stable hot water supply in the shower, and free disposable towels and toilet seat covers—very clean and hygienic. What touched me most was the owner's meticulous care. The owner personally helped us with our luggage during check-in and check-out, enthusiastically recommended local delicacies, and after watching the Miao village performance at noon, I suffered from heatstroke. The owner kindly extended my check-out time and even gave me two bottles of water before I left. I was extremely grateful. It wasn't just the owner's family; the Miao villagers were incredibly hospitable. Near the performance area, there was a place with delicious and generous portions of shaved ice. An auntie invited me to her home for dinner and rice wine. In the evening, while strolling around the village, a Miao grandmother, worried we might get lost, proactively asked if we had any difficulties. The young lady at the photo studio was warm and talkative, sharing many interesting stories… The twelve rounds of welcoming wine and the song and dance performances were spectacular and full of ethnic charm. In short, this trip to Langde was very enjoyable, and I will definitely come back again in the future.
