GGuest UserOverall, it was a good stay, but there are a few drawbacks to consider:
1. They didn't inform me before check-in that I needed to purchase a membership card to extend my stay for a second night. Otherwise, I'd have to check out and then check in again. While it wasn't a lot of money, it left a bad impression.
2. The check-in time was a bit odd.

GGuest UserHotel room is small but overall the facilities in the hotel room are decent. The hotel receptionists are helpful and the hotel room is clean. Location wise is near to Taichung train station, but not so favorable for me as itâs not near to the high speed rail station or any other tourist spots except Miyahara ice cream. Breakfast can also be improved further.

FFlow.dotcomI had a wonderful stay at Millennium Hotel Taichung! This is truly a 5-star experience from the moment I arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. As soon as my taxi pulled up, the bellboy came over right away and helped with my luggageâeven sending it directly to my room without me needing to handle anything. Such thoughtful service!
The room was very spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day out. I especially loved the little touches, like the Nespresso coffee machine for a nice cup of coffee anytime. The biggest surprise was the complimentary mini barâthere were four bottles of soft drinks provided for free, which was such a nice bonus!
The bathroom was also impressively large, clean, and well-designed, adding to the overall luxurious feel of the stay.
Overall, I highly recommend Millennium Hotel Taichung if youâre looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service. I would definitely stay here again! đ

Hygiene: Very clean and tidy.
Service: The staff are all very friendly and enthusiastic, and there's a high staff-to-guest ratio.
Dining: Breakfast is very rich and varied.

EElazigThis hotel is the top choice for comfort, cleanliness, safety, and convenience. It's located right by the Green River, just a 5-minute walk from Taichung Railway Station, so meals are never an issue with plenty of dining options within walking distance. The room was clean, and the bed was a firm spring mattress (the kind that doesn't sag). The hot water was plentiful and very hot, and there was no water accumulation. Next to the front desk, there's a coffee machine and various coffee and tea bags, along with a 24-hour supply of water at three different temperatures. The rooftop has free washing machines and a dryer (NT$10 for 20 minutes). The hotel offers free parking at a partner lot, just a 5-minute walk away. It's incredibly convenient and comfortable for travelers. Highly recommended!

VVladimir PervouchineHotel is great overall, but beds are really hard surface type. The hotel feels like was last renovated / built some 20 or so years ago, which makes everything looks dated. However, in terms of cleanliness, service and location it is an excellent hotel (if you are ok sleeping on a hard bed).
Staff is very helpful.
We didnât try spa or dining so cannot comment here.
Location is good: it is not too far from central district yet if youâre driving (we did) you donât have to drive through the most congested areas. There are a few excellent coffee places nearby. Many places around to eat.

GGuest UserFacilities: The room wasn't huge, but it had everything I needed. The bathroom was very spacious with both a shower and a bathtub đ, which was great.
Service: Excellent! Every staff member was wonderful, especially Rich, who was incredibly attentive and made me feel very well looked after.
Cleanliness: Good.
Environment: The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but it was decent, and they had my favorite, salad.

LLee, Pin-YiI booked a double standard room with a bathtub. The bathroom fixtures were high-quality TOTO and VOV. For a solo traveler, the space was perfectly adequate. The room and overall decor had a tasteful, elegant Japanese aesthetic. The minor dust on the windowsill was negligible. The hotel entrance is understated, but after checking in, you absolutely must visit the lobby. Take a seat, relax, and enjoy a cup of their complimentary self-serve brewed coffee â the aroma and taste are perfectly balanced, on par with a five-star hotel.

GGuest UserThe Plaza Hotel is actually an older, well-established brand in Taichung. Its location is quite good, and the entire hotel has been recently renovated, so it's still very spacious and clean. It's conveniently located in the city center, making it easy to get to Fengjia Night Market, the Intercontinental Baseball Stadium, the new Hanshin Department Store, or Shinkong Mitsukoshi in the 7th Redevelopment Zone. There's parking available on-site. The hotel also offers breakfast, but you can choose a room-only option if you prefer not to have it. Definitely recommended!

MmegggggThe parking lot is super convenient, and the parking spaces are really big. The room and the bathroom in the room are both huge.
Having simple late-night snacks and breakfast included is incredibly convenient and delicious. Plus, with a 12 PM checkout, you can sleep in a bit, which is perfect for anyone who doesn't want to get up too early when they're on vacation.
