GGranster72A beautifully renovated hotel in the old style perfectly located in the central old town of Catania.
Star all spoke English beautifully the room was a upstairs downstairs loft very comfortable with a magnificent ensuite.
Great views great location fantastic rooftop restaurant with bar both indoor an outdoor seating, which was terrific becauseit was quite chilly for a couple of nights I stayed there

CClaire MPapali was on the first floor of a very old building, so expect to walk up a few steps with your luggage, because there's no elevator ... But, the Signore who welcomed us was very friendly and even went downstairs - while I already could go into our room - to help my husband find a parking spot on the street nearby.
We had a very good night in a simple, but super clean and quite big room, comfy bed as well ... Bathroom was nice and clean with plenty of towels ...
The first picture I took in the morning after our night at Papali out from the balcony, the second was taken in the morning when we had our breakfast served kindly in the little dining area ...
Btw, Papali is located wonderfully - it's an easy walk to all the main sightseeing spots of Catania! I added some pictures of our evening walk ...
Summary: Papali is a great choice locationwise and if you do not want to spend too much, but still want to have a cozy night at a simple but friendly and nice place.

GGuest UserI forgot 3 electronic devices (nintendo) in the nightstand. 1 day afterwards nobody knew anything when I called. I tried to give my number in case of when they miraculously would find it, and they did not even accept. Therefore, for such a hotel Very poor service and non-realiable cleaning personnel.

SsundncrThis is a wonderful location to stay a night before an early morning flight to the airport. The stay was wonderful too. The hotel has a big pool to relax and the grounds are kept neat. The room had a view of Mount Etna and it was thrilling to see the Mountain during Sunrise. The staff were friendly and receptive. Rooms were large with a big clean bed and linens. Bathroom was more than average size. It was a good and relaxing stay. I think parking is free here. There is a bit of Industrial area around the hotel, but it is very safe. Saw plenty of families with kids enjoying their stay. The hotel has a wonderful restaurant to try the local food. English is spoken by almost all the staff.

GGuest UserA place near the bus station to taormina and siracusa. It's one minute away to take Alibus to airport which cost EUR4. A good location just 15-20 minutes walk to the catania Centrale and the fish market there.
