First of all, it was a 5-minute walk from Hita Express Bus Terminal, so the accessibility was very good! Early check-in was also possible, and I was able to have a really good time because I kindly explained everything! There are two 24-hour family baths, so I've been washing all my fatigue after a long time!! ㅎㅎ One surprise was that there was no toilet in each room and there was a shared toilet! There is really only bedding in the room! Please refer to :) The best thing was that the atmosphere was a really quiet Japanese hostel, so I really recommend it to those who want to cut off from the world and wash their hearts.

Located in Hita-cho, Hita, it is known as Kyushu-Kyoto, and you can see the hometown of Ogata-yaki (on the mountain, there is a direct bus at Hita Station, and the shuttle bus is not much to see the timetable). After much deliberation, I chose this hotel for a Mother's Day hot spring trip, and it was a wonderful decision. The staff were all courteous and kind. We arrived a bit early, but a male staff member came to greet us and told us our room was ready. They also thoughtfully accommodated my daughter's meal, which made our family's dining experience, something we eagerly anticipate on hot spring trips, a truly happy and delicious time together. The open-air bath in our room offered a breathtaking view, enveloped in beautiful greenery, making the morning incredibly refreshing. The public bath was also truly magnificent. We even enjoyed the hot stone spa for a bit. It was a beautiful ryokan that makes you want to visit again.

While I was satisfied with the facilities and hot springs, I am leaving this review because of a very unpleasant experience. While using the shuttle service provided by the ryokan, the driver made remarks about Korea's colonial rule, saying it was ”not domination, but development,” and making political and historical remarks, such as ”Takeshima is Japanese territory.” I felt that mentioning these topics, knowing that the guest was Korean, was inappropriate for hospitality and also problematic from a customer protection perspective. The facility itself was fine, except for the lukewarm water in the open-air bath, but this experience has made it difficult for me to use the ryokan again. I hope that staff training and management are implemented to prevent similar situations from occurring in the future.

It's a beautiful hot spring town, and I loved the quiet and natural scenery! Since Amagase Village has a tourist course including waterfalls, I thought it would be a good idea to take a village tour next time. (There is a beautiful waterfall within a 10-minute walk from Amagase Station, so be sure to visit! Highly recommended!) There is nothing around the accommodation, so the only sounds are the sounds of the valley and birds, so it has a quiet atmosphere. (healing) The best thing was that I could use a private bath at no extra cost. Although it felt a bit old, I liked the clean and quiet sensibility of the ryokan. The employees are not good at English or Korean, but they work hard to communicate through translators, and they really like it if you speak at least a little bit of Japanese. It was really nice that you were so kind!! I was very satisfied with the facilities, kaiseki set meal, and breakfast for the price, so I will definitely visit again with my family next time! Although it is a difficult location to visit without a car, pick-up service is provided by contacting the nearest train station. It would be a good idea to send the pickup location and time in advance when making a reservation! (If you are traveling on the Hita-Amagase route, be sure to check the train timetable as there are quite some intervals between trains) There really isn't anything nearby, so I recommend purchasing necessary items and snacks at a convenience store before checking in! (There is a beverage vending machine in the first floor lobby)

There are places to go sightseeing nearby, but if you want to feel the tranquility and quiet of the Japanese countryside, I recommend going to the Smile Hotel as they provide free bicycle rental. The nearby Sohoren Main Branch is a 5-minute bike ride away. I recommend it as it is a short distance away. Local restaurant

The service was impeccable. Soo soo much food and it was really good too for the price you pay. The baths were great but really weird arrangement that the women only get access to the outdoor bath for 3 hours a day in the morning. So be sure to allocate time for that if you wanna try out the advertised outdoor bath. It is smaller than depicted in pictures though.
