JannanaIkaho Onsen is a town you really have to make an effort to visit. Buses on Saturdays and Sundays are very infrequent; I waited two hours when I stayed there, so I had to take a taxi. You can ask the taxi driver to stop at the ancient Mizusawa Temple before reaching your accommodation. The hotel is incredibly cute and charming. I didn't expect much, but it was amazing, especially the food – 100 out of 100! It was filling, beautifully presented, delicious, and wonderful. The hotel has a beautiful golden-brown onsen with a great atmosphere. Highly recommended. The accommodation is on a hill, so if you have heavy luggage, it will be tiring to drag it from the bus stop. Taking a taxi is much more convenient. Walking from the hotel's parking area leads directly to many tourist attractions – super convenient! I've traveled a lot in Japan, but this is the town and accommodation I truly love and am most impressed with. For the return trip, I recommend taking a taxi to the train station; just tell the hotel you've booked one. Highly recommended!

The traditional Japanese hot spring hotel has a quiet environment and is a great choice for rest and relaxation.
Dinner and breakfast are traditional Japanese kaiseki cuisine, with rich dishes, carefully prepared, colorful, fragrant and delicious, satisfying both the eyes and the stomach.
From the time of our stay to our departure, the service staff was very considerate and caring, and we felt right at home!

Kinchoro is the more exclusive wing of Fuikuichi. The rooms come sight private onsen and it’s similar to most 10 tatami rooms.
The service from the staff is good. They are almost invisible when you don’t need them but will magically appear when you need help, during meal times and check in/out time.
The food unfortunately seem to be so so only. I didn’t find it spectacular, and in fact fringing on being a bit too inventive. Otherwise, all okay.

Location of the Ryokan is excellent and very convenient. Service is fantastic from valet parking, front desk to in room dining. However, the property is very old and the dated. As the walls are thin, noisy neighbours made it difficult to sleep.

Anonymous UserStayed there for 2 nights as a solo traveller. Most staff couldn't speak English but tried their best to communicate via translator apps and provided excellent service. Breakfast & dinner were served in the common rooms at Level 2, and the spread was different for each day. Food was pretty decent and very generous servings. Access to the public baths & rooftop onsens are limited by timings, staff will inform you at check in. Location is excellent, very near to the Ikaho bus stop that has the buses to Shibukawa JR station. Note it is on a very steep slope so you will have difficulties if travelling with heavy suitcases. Generally a very pleasant stay, and was very warmed by the heartfelt service.

It should be regarded as the best hotel in Yixiangbao. It has a history of more than 400 years, but it does not feel old. Several soups are great. The service staff are professional and thoughtful. The small robot in the lobby is super cute. There is a small restaurant on the 19th floor to the entrance and exit of the stone steps, three private rooms, open at 8-11 every night, fried dumplings and ramen are delicious. The people in this place are friendly and hospitable. Udon noodles are local specialties, and each one is delicious; the ancestral stone pot curry rice of the Black Boat House is particularly delicious; Sara's Terrace Arraiya 's package is very homely; Lungo's own roasted coffee is the best to drink, with a bunch of rice cakes is too fragrant! The matcha shop next to the ladder is already very popular, but the clerk is so enthusiastic. When I fell down, I immediately took the first aid kit and ran out to deal with the wound. I was moved! The nearby original gallery is also worth a visit, in a pasture with lots of sheep.

Guest UserI arrived in front of the hotel around 3 PM, but there was no one there. I waited, wondering what to do, when a leisurely-looking man came over. He asked for my name and loudly confirmed it with another man. When I went into the front desk, it was packed with people, and I didn't know what to do, so I drank some tea and waited. Then someone who arrived later spoke to the front desk staff who were explaining things, asked for their name, and wrote it down on a piece of paper. If I had just waited silently, I would have been left alone the whole time. The room was spacious, and I could see the distant mountains, so I was able to relax in the room. The bath wasn't exactly clean, but it was okay. The open-air bath was outside, but I couldn't see the scenery or the sky at all, which I guess is unavoidable. I went for breakfast around 8:40 AM, but there was another huge line! By the time I ate, the miso soup had gotten completely cold, and the seat I was shown to was gone. It was a terrible experience. However, the food, especially the rice balls, was delicious. If you asked me if I would want to go again knowing all this, I would say yes. Thank you for your hospitality.

In the more affordable hotel in Yixiangbao, the price is not expensive, but the service is very thoughtful. If someone wants to book this hotel, you can tell him your itinerary by email. What time does the jr bus arrive? Basically, there will be a hotel bus to pick you up. The hotel is a time-honored brand, although the facilities are a bit old, but relatively complete, the front desk, the service staff are older, but very careful. Also very polite. Dinner default barbecue, there are long-foot crabs, burdocks, and big choices. All three are very good. It is recommended that the burdock is a local famous beef, very delicious. On the first night, because of the first day of the summer vacation, I had two stays with my wife. So the hot spring opened a female soup, which is equivalent to the private soup. I soaked the female soup and male soup for two days. The open-air environment of men and women's soup is very good, the supporting after-bath facilities are armed to the teeth, and the whole body is from care to feet. This price is really good to have such an affordable public hot spring. If you go to the top of the famous mountain cable car last autumn, you must go to the front desk to get a promotional leaflet with coupons on it. Shanyang Hotel gave me a home away from home service. When I stayed in and left, the service was very good and very warm. If I go to Yixiangbao next time, I will continue to choose to stay.
