Great
GGuest UserA historic hotel that provided ambience with a welcoming atmosphere. The hotels location provided plenty of options for food and necessities. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and provided exceptional service. We requested a room change which was promptly addressed and were very pleased with the new room. The 3rd floor pool area was very nice with plenty of loungers and clean towels. Although, a weekly noontime schedule to purchase beverages and food at the pool would have been welcomed. We would like to acknowledge exceptional and friendly service from Graciela F. and Adriana C. They made our stay very enjoyable! We will be returning in the future and would highly recommend the Pasadena Hotel!!
GGuest UserThe room was very clean and well-planned. The nearby shopping mall and the city hall are within walking distance. The hotel breakfast was not very varied but basically everything was available. Paper cups were also provided for take-away coffee or tea. The only downside was that the shower faucet could not be hand-held. The hotel also charged the room fee twice, which was refunded immediately after communicating with Ctrip customer service. Overall, I was quite satisfied.
AAnderson SimaThe hotel is in a great location. Pasadena is the old wealthy area of LA, with good public security and beautiful scenery. The hotel is located right in the old city center. You can check in the beautiful scenery of Pasadena in ten minutes. You can see St. Andrew's Cathedral when you open the window.
It is not too far from LA attractions. The airport is 30-40 minutes away by car without traffic jams, and Universal Studios is only 20 minutes away by car.
GGuest UserFacilities: OK, all relatively old!
Hygiene: It's okay, but there are no slippers, toothbrushes, and later I asked for disposable slippers alone!
Environment: The surrounding environment is okay, you can see the mountain view!
Service: There is no service at all. I was dragging several suitcases by myself. It was difficult to drag the carpet and there was no one to help!
GGuest UserIt felt like a motel, but not unsafe. There were hairs on the towels, and the coffee and water dispensers in the lobby smelled like detergent. I've stayed at hotels in the same group over a dozen times, but this was the first time I'd experienced a distinct detergent smell, and it was the group's standard detergent.
RRashidaL.Our experience with the Howard Johnson has been exceptional with such great quality service! The manager Tommy has been very great and supportive with accommodations pertaining to our family needs in selecting the best room, and receiving the best service. Housekeeping is great, efficient and very kind. Whenever you’re looking for a quality hotel that’s very reasonable in price, The Howard Johnson in Pasadena is it !
DdyjThe hotel is in the style of an ordinary American moto hotel. Each room has a huge fan for cooling and heating. The only advantage is convenience. There is a whole foods across the street and the subway station is half a block away. It is very convenient for shopping, eating and everything else.
The bathroom and washbasin in the room are very bright, but the hair dryer is the one hanging on the wall. I went to the front desk to remind them, and they said it didn't matter. I don't know if the extra 10 or so on the deposit in the end was related to this...
The hotel's breakfast is really disappointing. It doesn't have the basic American standard. In the end, I had to heat up the takeaway in the evening for breakfast...
As for the service, the service for Asians is really mediocre. On the contrary, the few with Western faces may be from Lao Mo Bar, but they are not bad. Check in early and check out very quickly.
It's okay if you can stay for a day or two and are not picky.
施施The room is quite clean, the facilities are quite complete, the room Wi-Fi is not very good, the hotel is at the end of Colorado Avenue, there is no big shopping center, there is a 7-11 around, walking about three minutes, next to There is a Japanese restaurant, and there are still places to eat. Breakfast is very simple, guests can eat at the in-house, so there is no room for meals.
FFilomenoThe hotel is a bit dated but still nice. The room I stayed was okay and there is enough space to move around. The sheets need a little update. The bathroom is nice and spacious.
