GGuest UserWe love the location. It’s closed to University of Pittsburgh where we visited. There are many restaurants along the road nearby. You need to pay for a parking about $22 per day. The parking is just right across with the hotel.
The room is decent. There is small kitchenette in the room if anyone wants to cook an easy meal. . I hope the room will be cleaner. The pillow is too soft and thin. It makes our sleeping uncomfortably.
GGuest UserTook my wife here to celebrate her birthday and when we got to the room we noticed the one chair was so marked up, we could’ve gotten a cleaner one at goodwill. Didn’t notice that the soaps and rod were ripped off the wall till we went to shower later that night. After the shower I went to fill our ice and it was half full of water. I’m not the type to complain, but for the price I wanted everything to be perfect for my wife for her birthday and the cleanliness wasn’t there.

BBenpaodexiaoyangmieyangThe room was big, the coffee machine was broken, and the plug was broken. I refused to make a purchase order. I told them to go to a platform. I took the deposit and consumed an egg (very funny). I should have placed an order. (There were no eggs in the morning. I ordered the order. They said there was a charge but didn't, and later they charged more than 2 US dollars). It's close to the station. There are many homeless people downstairs. The public security is not good. I couldn't find a parking space. In order to check in, I parked in the parking lot opposite for more than ten minutes. They charged 22 US dollars, and after driving out, they charged another 29 US dollars for the night. It was a bad experience.

GGuest UserTryp was awesome. Great historical location and renovation. Location was fun, safe. Staff was excellent. Will strongly recommend.
Only one issue - apparently a new rule was implemented regarding checking in early afternoon. After a 6 hour drive I arrived at 1:15pm and asked to check in. I travel for a living so I was a bit disappointed to hear it would cost an additional $50 to get my room an 1 1/2 ”early”. I asked if it was ready and was told yes. So after a 6 hour drive my choice was to sit in the lobby for an hour and a half+ or pay the $50. I said I understood if I was trying to check in at like 9:00 am.
When checking out Tryp made the experience right.
Overall, as a frequent visitor to pittsburgh I look forward to returning and highly recommend.
GGuest UserThis is our second stay at a hotel under the same brand, but in a different city. The front desk staff today were very welcoming. The room was spacious enough for our family of five, clean and tidy, and the water pressure was excellent. The location is convenient for getting around, and the service was warm. Overall, this hotel provided a great experience for my family! 👍
AAnonymous UserThe hotel was very clean except the shower area which had a bit of soap residue and was slightly slippery. The free breakfast was great with all you can drink coffee and fruit juices, with hot items including sausage eggs and pancake. The gym and pool was not heavily utilized and provided good privacy during my stay.
CCaesarRooms are out dated . Really small and poor lighting , good water pressure in the shower and rooms are clean and the staff is super friendly and helpful, location is not so good
GGuest UserThe staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. The continental breakfast was decent, but not great. The location is fantastic if you're in town for a ballgame. However, my room was at the very north end of the hotel near the highway and the road noises at night was pretty bad/loud due to the elevated roadway.
The reason for my terrible rating on cleanliness is that when I turned down my sheets, I had black flecks of something all in my sheets, as well as a long dark hair under the top sheet I could see. Additionally, I had some sort of dead bug on my side table. It looked like potentially a bed bug, so I didn't get much sleep the only night I was there.
I'd recommend this hotel to stay at with a few caveats of asking for a room on the south end of the hotel as well as checking your sheets as soon as you get into your room.
GGuest UserReally good location, just a few minutes walk from a very nice part of town. The hotel is very modern and comfortable with lovely amenities, including a pool and gym. Breakfast was generous although missing some bits, we were very happy. The room itself was very comfy and although the bedding wasn’t the nicest, it was very clean. I will say the area itself felt a little sketchy at night and we were concerned about the car, but all was fine. It was very different by day!
