The owner always listened carefully to our requests, and communication in English was smooth. Pre-arrival email correspondence was also answered very promptly. Every night when we returned, there was a light left on for us, making it feel just like coming home. On our last day, when we left in the early morning, they even helped us call a taxi and saw us off. The hostess doesn't speak English but is very gentle and keeps the house spotlessly clean, inside and out. The owner enjoys reading, is gentle and devout; you can feel completely at ease staying here. 🏨 The location is superb! It's just a one-minute walk to the spot featured on the *Lonely Planet* cover, making it very convenient for watching sunrises and sunsets. The ancient city is also just a few minutes' walk away, making it very chill indeed. I hope the owner's guesthouse continues to thrive. Overall, it was decent. The hotel is quite new, but the main drawback is that the room is a bit small. I've stayed further from the city center before and gotten larger rooms. Here, besides the bed, there's not much space left. There's an ATM on the ground floor, and the breakfast is excellent, a mix of Western and Uzbek styles, with strawberries which was a nice touch. It's easy to get a taxi, and it's not far from the old city, about 10 kilometers. Across from the hotel, there's a place that sells baked samsa, and about a kilometer away there are restaurants where you can order takeout.
