GGuest UserI recently stayed at Phong Nha Mountain House, and I can honestly say it was one of the most comfortable and welcoming experiences I've ever had. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. They helped with everything from laundry and food to providing invaluable advice about the local area.
They also assisted in booking an incredible tour around the caves, which was a highlight of my trip. When my motorbike broke down, they offered to find a mechanic for me and even took me to the bus station to make sure I could continue my journey safely.
I could not recommend Phong Nha Mountain House enough. The hosts are some of the kindest, most genuine people I have met, and their hospitality truly made my stay unforgettable.

The hotel is a very nice view of the river and many places to sit and watch it.
We were very comfortable with me, while my bus arrived in Phong Nha very early and I had not booked room for the night during which my bus traveled.

RRamona EftimieOverall, I have a good impression of the family who runs this accommodation. The location is excellent, right by the river, and the people are very kind and welcoming. The breakfast was good and enjoyable.
What I did not like was the fact that we stayed in December, when the humidity was extremely high. The windows were constantly wet, and the room developed a musty smell. We had to keep the air conditioning on all the time to manage the humidity, but then the room became very cold.
In general, it is a rather chilly accommodation, especially in winter, but the river view is absolutely beautiful and makes up for it.

GGuest UserWe were met late at night at the bus stop and driven home, where we had dinner. We were treated to honey and tea. The hostess recommended various route options. She helped us get our shoes repaired. She helped us buy bus tickets. She arranged transportation. All our questions were answered. We really enjoyed our stay.

GGuest UserA little far from the center of the village, walking 20 minutes. If the weather is good, it is normal and you can walk. But I got under the rain and went by taxi to the harbor and then the caves closed at all. For those on the bike it is just an ideal option. The yard is beautiful, tidy, the room is cozy and very stylish. Breakfast, dinner can be in the yard, the food is delicious. Overall everything is good

Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable.
The staff were helpful and were able to offer tours (can’t give any feedback on them as we didn’t use them), but they did arrange a motor bike for us.
We also used there push bikes, which was great.
Lovely view of the river while we sat on ate our breakfast.
Short walk or bike ride into the centre.

GGuest UserI can 100% recommend this to anyone!! It’s a very lovely family-run homestay which is located very very well. The staff is nice even though not all of them speak English and the breakfast is delicious as well. What I liked the most where the rooms with the big windows and balconies overlooking the river and the mountains. It was incredible waking up with this view.
The perfect place to stay if you want to rewind.

GGuest UserThe staff is very generous and helpful. He gave advise for activities, booked our next bus and rented us his motorbike. He even invited us to watch the final soccer match of the national team with him and his friends, which was an really fun experience.
The free breakfast was really nice, pancake, fruit, juice and coffee and also other options, while enjoying the beautiful view over the valley from the rooftop.
Room had a nice balcony, was clean and beds were comfy.
We could leave our bags after checking out ans even use a hot shower after a day of activities before we took our next bus.
Would definitely recommend!

GGuest UserMy friend and I loved it here! The place was clean, the staff were very helpful, room had a strong aircon, and it was the first place we were able to watch a movie since we started travelling! This was a nice rest bite for a couple of evenings though we did connect a portable speaker to it so we could hear better as it was very quiet.
There was also a working fridge which was lovely but it goes off when you leave as you take the key for the electricity so if you need something to stay refrigerated just ask and they will pop it in the downstairs fridge instead.
We had the number of the owner and she was quick to answer and helped us with everything, from checking in early to sorting washing loads to booking taxis in the morning etc.
Good location too, not far from the old city, some nice restaurants nearby (peanuts the vegan place we would recommend). If you want to go to hoian specifically for being on the beach then this place is a drive away so not the most convenient but also only 15mins max and grabs are cheap! We would deffo stay there again!

GGuest UserGreat location in Phong Nha, minutes walk to where the bus drops you off. The only good thing other than the location and price was the help the staff provided with logistics. Diep was very helpful arranging transportation for us, even on her day off. We chose this hotel because it was listed as a 3 star hotel, not sure if that is accurate. The hostels in the town looked much nicer, listed as 2 stars, but we are a little bit older and not sure we would fit in with the younger patrons shown in the hostel pictures. Though we wouldn’t have used their large pool due to the rainy weather, it was only half full of water and not usable. The breakfast included in the room price was limited; might want to inquire ahead of time.
