Only the location is prime, rest everything is 2 star property The architecture and location of the property. The food quality was average and limited to some options only. Wifi was very slow. There was flies everywhere in our room and dinning room. Staff was untrained; only one manager was trained. SPA was still under construction. The rooms were not upto the mark... although the property was renovated they still seem old. They charge 10% has transaction fee if you pay via card. The general fee is around 3% only. So they need to fix it. I had to flight by way out for it.

Not a good hotel,ambience is good but hospitality is bad.Food is horrible,not even eatable.Staff are not considerate to the guests and didn’t even respond properly.And few room equipment’s such as heater wasn’t working properly and water wasn’t coming in the taps

This hotel is a true find, perfectly located for anyone hiking the Tiger's Nest trail. The views are spectacular, but it's the people and the design that truly set it apart. The owners and staff are truly special—their warmth and attentiveness made our stay unforgettable. The property itself is a work of art. The architecture is breathtaking, and every detail, from the decor to the layout, feels intentional and beautifully curated. It’s a place that inspires awe at every turn. And the food! The meals here were hands down the best we enjoyed during our entire trip to Bhutan. Each dish was a perfect blend of delicious flavors and artistic plating. We also loved the hot stone baths, which were a heavenly and healing reward after our long trek. We already miss this place and will definitely be back. Can’t wait!

I stayed here for 2 nights and was blown away by the experience. So much attention to detail in the interiors and food, breathtaking views, and really peaceful. Missie and Sonam are the warmest hosts you find. It's also right next to the Tiger's Nest trail. Will definitely go back!

The place was extremely beautiful surrounded by mountains. They have a very nice bar with wooden interiors. Rooms were very spacious and nicely designed. They have good variety of food ranging from Indian to Korean to Bhutanse. I specifically liked the chicken curry. Was the first time I tried Korean food. It was very tasty and nicely presented. You must try the Ara drink. The owners Sonam and his wife were extremely polite and attended to our needs. The staff is also very kind and helpful. You must try the hot stone bath. It's out in the open where you can view the mountains. Great place honestly, must visit !!!

Wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of the Himalayan mountains!! Situated near the Tiger’s Nest, this is a great place to relax and day trip from. The facilities have been recently renovated (e.g., modern bathrooms) and blend seamlessly with the traditional Bhutanese architecture. The owner, Sonam, kindly welcomed me with copious amounts of ara and the staff were always on hand to assist with my requests. Overall, great value for money. Do yourself a favor and book now!!

Missey and Sonam the hosts at Taktsangri-La are wonderful and welcoming. Conversations with them Are amazing to understand Bhutan as an insider and as an outsider settled in. They have wonderful staff. To top this wonderful set of hosts, their hotel is wonderful to stay in and is luxurious with very good service and food. The location tops it all - at the foot of the mountain where Tiger Nest nestles. When my wife and I went the monsoon clouds and the mountains around were in constant play with each other creating a visual drama that changed every hour!
