The restaurant offers local bhutani cuisine and the buffet offers a mix of Indian, local and continental options. The food is tasty. The spa is good and the special feature is the hot stone bath. The staff is well trained and they are always smiling."

Silver Cloud Hotel

📍 satsam chorten, Lamgong, Paro
★★★ 9.6 (58 reviews)

"Staff were attentive, friendly, & accommodating; they even made a special breakfast for me and my bland American tastes when the Indian buffet was too spicy for me. The cafe next door had delicious pizza. The rooms were quiet & comfortable and I especially liked that the hotel had a view of the mountains & was within a short walking distance to a beautiful soothing river where i would sit & meditate & soak my tired feet after hiking up to Tigers Nest."

Le Méridien Paro, Riverfront

"We had an absolutely incredible dinner at Latest Recipe tonight. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The service team truly went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our meal was perfect. A special thank you to Jigme, Samgay, Chimme, Kunzang, Pandey, and Nauraj. Their collective attentiveness and friendly demeanor made the evening feel truly personal. It’s rare to see a team work so seamlessly together to create such a refined dining experience. If you are in Paro, this is a must-visit for both the food and the world-class service!"

Como Uma Paro Hotels in Paro

Como Uma Paro

"Nice view over the Paro Valley but very old and run down dark rooms. Not up to Bhutanese standard. Staff is very nice and friendly and very helpful, food is ok and nothing special. But we celebrated an important birthday there for one of my clients and they went out of their way to make this a very special event. Nice place but needs an upgrade!!!"

"I had a great room with awesome views from my glassed in sunporch at this lovely hotel. It is fairly small in a calm, quiet setting up on a hillside just outside Paro (near airport). It is very close to Paro and probably walkable if you don't mind a steep hill with no footpath. I took a lovely walk up the hill from the hotel which had little traffic, forest and views. The hotel was very clean, had the best hot shower I had while in Bhutan (including amenities such as a blow dryer). Bed was firm and comfy and though I saw no source of heat I had plenty of warm blankets & outside temps were cool but not cold. Good breakfast and dinner. Staff is lovely."

Lhayhuel Resort & Spa Hotels in Paro

Lhayhuel Resort & Spa

"Our last 2 nights in Bhutan trip is stayed with Lhayhuel Resort & Spa where is located nearest to Paro airport. When we arrived the resort, we have a fresh squeezed apple juice as welcome drink. The rooms are distributed with different blocks with 2 floors. Room provides good enough space and all amenities. Decoration is quite Bhutan tradition style. Numbers of electric plugs are provided and fit for all types. Their food and beverages are very good. We had 2 dinners with a la cart selection. It is one of high quality food in our Bhutan trip. They provided us their homegrown apple salads and even sun-flower tea. Their services are also nice and warm. Although this only hotel we stayed in Paro, if you have no idea, this Lhayhuel can be on your list."

Naksel Boutique Hotel & Spa Hotels in Paro

Naksel Boutique Hotel & Spa

"I was in Bhutan for 10 days and wanted to finish the trip with a better hotel near the Tigers Nest and that is why I selected the Naksel. This was my choice rather than the suggested hotel from the guide. I’m not quite sure how it gets its 4* star rating or what quite qualifies it to call itself luxury and boutique. It reminds me of 1970s ski lodges with a lot of pine and it does have that old-fashioned feel about it. We were greeted with a lukewarm drink upon arrival and I was disappointed to find that the security lock to the bedroom was broken and that the room safe opened with a standard default number. That means anyone could open your safe if they had access to your room. The double bed in the bedroom was very small despite having adequate room for a larger one. The toiletries in the bathroom were of a budget quality and certainly didn’t reflect what the hotel was trying to achieve. The pillows on the bed were of a cheap foam and not particularly comfortable. There was only one toilet roll in the bathroom which ran out. The bar area was pleasant with a nice terrace outside with good views, however there were no cushions or blankets on any of the chairs. You would struggle to sit out there in the cool weather. There was also a nice room on the terrace with a log burner but it was hopeless trying to use it as the fire was never lit. There also no fresh flowers anywhere or complementary fruit etc which is unusual for a hotel that calls its self 4* star and luxury. The nuts that were served with my apéritif prior to dinner were the standard that you would probably feed your hamster. This was the only place in my 10 day trip where all the prices were quoted in US dollars which is strange for a country that wants to maintain its own identity. It was also adds another 10% service and 10% tax to all bills. It called itself a spa but the spa was slightly away from the hotel and nothing was included in the room rate. Usually a steam room or sauna would be included in your price. The restaurant was alright but unfortunately breakfast finished by 9 am . There was also no fresh fruit on one of the days and the jams available were the cheapest catering ones you could ever find. It would be so easy to improve this place but until then I would say somewhere else on my next trip."

Shomo Chuki Resort ★★★
"Shomo Chuki is located in a nice part of Paro. It had the best food among the three hotels we stayed at—a mix of Bhutanese, continental, and Indian. The cook was also kind enough to prepare custom food for us the day lunch was over, as we arrived a bit late after the Tiger’s Nest climb. The rooms are nice, although there are no elevators, so you may want to request lower-floor rooms if you have knee issues. Our room didn’t have a great view, but the corridor overlooks beautiful paddy fields. Pigeons become very active at night above the rooms. Service was excellent, and everything is a short drive away, including Ecofarm with its hot stone bath experience. Great value for money."
