We arrived late evening after a long drive. The entire staff is warm and welcoming. The Elgin is beautifully situated and the perfect place to relax, read and take in the awesome views of Kangchenjunga. Rooms are beautifully appointed and maintained.

We had a great time. The rooms were very comfortable and the service was excellent. The place was clean and would certainly like to come back. The service staff, Suprina,Choden,Norkey, Prabhakar, Suvasish are very helpful and ever ready to help with a smile Thanks to everyone we had a fantastic time

Had heard a lot about the Elgin from family and the unique heritage experience it offers. Decided to drop in for lunch, rather a bit late. The colonial interiors were beautiful and as we stepped into the outdoor dining space, we were greeted by the Kanchenjunga range... it was a little cloudy but we still could make out the mountains. It was an amazing and well kept place. The gardens were flush with flowers in every hue and colour. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Food was superb and well presented. Be prepared for a wait for food nevertheless as everything is prepared only upon order. Once your order is taken, the staff goes into the kitchen and come back with an estimated time to serve. They start preparing once you give a conformation. We were given 40 mins which we accepted gladly. Just loved this as this was the first time we experienced this kind of service. Overall a very unique and pleasurable experience.

Magnificent view . Nice grounds. Good food in restaurant but poor service. We waited an hour for our dinner. Building Has seen better days. Hotel rooms Need a refresh. Bathroom was unpleasant. Janky cabinet and burping drain in floor which over flowed when upstairs was taking a shower ( I hope not when they were flushing toilet) . Informed staff . Facility seemed cleaned but because wear and tear, didn’t feel sparkling. Bed comfortable. ask for Mr view side… what makes hotel tolerable at high price.

Wonderful location, amazing staff, decent food. Huge rooms and 1 BHK size bathrooms. Lot of heritage and history. Express check in. It was cold that night. Heater was already kept on before we arrived. Restaurant staff never refused anything. Went out of their way. Thank you Mr. Mukherjee, Namita, Shubash, Choden, Norkey, Sangeeta, Suprina and all the other kids.

Fantastic Stay! beautiful, well appointed rooms. Old world charm, small and cosy. The views are gorgeous. We loved our time here. We had a break from the rains on our second day and had gorgeous clear views of the greater Himalayas. Hope to return for another stay.

A delightful stay at Elgin Hotel. Perfectly situated, it offers impeccably maintained rooms and beautiful grounds. The culinary delights were exceptional, and the hospitality of the entire staff was truly outstanding. Special mention goes to Sangita, Pravakar, Suprina, Choden, Norkey, and the rest of the food servers and guards for their exceptional service and warm demeanor. We can't wait to return.
