Check-in : Fast and seamless Hotel Room : Clean and well maintained Staff Response : Fast, courteous, and friendly Amenities : It was not the first time we stayed in the hotel but first time under the new brand name. Checking in was fast and efficient. Provided with welcome snacks in the fridge. Was surprised that the hotel is practising sustainability effort by providing water using glass bottles, which is commendable. The hotel water wasn't the usual ”scalding” type (at times just warm) even when the level is at the extreme left, perhaps it part of sustainability but we prefer it a tat hotter if possible. Didn't get to enjoy the rest of the amenities, but the hotel promotions seemed attractive.

First the good part. This hotel is superbly located at has a direct link to the 1 Utama Mall which is full of shops and restaurant outlets. The room is spacious and very well kept although the bed is a little too hard. Breakfast variety was also very good. The bad part. At check in, I was told there was a RM20 “deposit” payable. So I paid this in cash. At check out, I asked for the return of the deposit and was told that what I paid for was not a “deposit” but a tourism tax. I told the staff that all taxes (including the tourism tax) were fully paid when I booked on trip.com. I also showed the booking details on the app proving that the tourism tax was included in the total amount I paid for. I was asked to show the receipt before they could refund me. As I was rushing to the airport, I had to leave the hotel without the refund. The staff should be better trained to inform guests on what they are actually paying for (whether it’s a deposit or a tax). And the staff should also know from their system if all taxes have been paid for or if any excess should be collected. Not everything is a “deposit” which is highly misleading. While it was a good overall stay, this incident left a negative impression.

The staff were incredibly kind and friendly during our stay. The room comfortably accommodated two people, and the amenities were well-prepared, including a convenient mini-fridge for keeping beverages cool. A complimentary breakfast of nasi lemak, fried bihun, and toast was provided. We also appreciated the complimentary luggage storage after check-out, allowing us to enjoy our visit to 1 Utama Shopping Mall without carrying our bags. The only drawback was that the shower head had limited water spray range, making showering somewhat inconvenient. The price of RM 120 per night was very reasonable.

Apartment well maintained and clean. Quick response from owner a big plus. Location is good except shopping malls are not within walking distance.

I like the parking space.. private, spacious and free. The room is quite ok for the price but not sound proof. At night can be noisy with people chatting at nearby rooms. The check in and check out process is smooth with the machine but there’s a staff to assist. Definitely will come again. Worth the price

No breakfast, basic equipment, the refrigerator is a bit noisy. The bed is large and there are many people sleeping. Location is also very convenient

Recently stayed at Hotel 99 Kelana Jaya and had a decent experience overall. The hotel offers good value for budget-conscious travelers, with its convenient location, close to public transport (LRT Kelana Jaya). ✔ Affordable rates – Suitable for short stays or business trips. ✔ Clean & basic room – The essentials (bed, AC, TV, bathroom) were functional. ✔ Decent WiFi – Reliable for basic browsing. ⚠️ Room size – A bit compact, especially for longer stays or extra luggage. ⚠️ Noise levels – Some street noise could be heard in my room. Overall, Hotel 99 KJ is a no-frills, convenient and budget-friendly choice, If you need an affordable place to sleep without extra perks, this hotel does the job.

Overall really love it.. Their services tiptop.. Got iron, hair dryer, water heater, TV, aircond, mineral water, tissue, cup and coffee, reusable toothbrush, soap, towels.. Sooo good.. Really recommended..
