The service in Bhutan is actually quite good, but this Le Méridien is very frustrating. When I arrived, no one helped me with my luggage. I went to the front desk last night to reserve a take away breakfast for this morning, but when I went in the morning, they said it was not available and asked me to wait. I couldn't wait even if I had an early flight. 😅 The service is far worse than other hotels in Bhutan.

Great service at the front desk. Efficient. Food at the restaurant is also very good, especially the Indian food selection and dessert. The Executive Chef, Satyajeet, is also very attentive to guests, making sure that we had a wonderful dining experience.

My husband and I are really enjoying our visit. The spa is lovely and the hotel is close to the town and the Tigers Nest. We have an excellent view of the river from our room. Everyone here goes above and beyond. We especially enjoy having cocktails at the bar with Ugyea who has made us wonderful drinks. I am looking forward to celebrating my 60th birthday here tomorrow.

Amazing Service – Tshewang Made Our Visit Unforgettable! We had an incredible experience at Latest Recipe in Le Meridien hotel, and a huge part of that was thanks to Tshewang Dorji! From the moment we walked in, he was so warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and even surprised us with some complimentary dishes—such a kind and thoughtful touch! The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for a great meal. What really stood out was Tshewang’s hospitality. He wasn’t just serving us—he genuinely cared about making our experience special. He even gave us great sightseeing tips, which made our trip even better. It’s rare to come across someone so passionate about what they do. If you’re in Paro, this place is a must-visit, and Tshewang is the one to ask for. He truly made our night!

This property is great - just by the riverfront and all rooms face the Paro river. The service is great and I started off my stay with a cocktail that the bartender Ugyen made - his own creation of a mojito but called Emahito - with local chili. Ema means Chilli.

We liked Le Meridien Paro and it is a well run hotel. It was perhaps half full when we were there: about 75 guests. It has a nice setting on the river. The room was clean and comfortable. Like many high-end Asian hotels, it has a window from the bathroom to the room. We closed it off, but whenever someone turns the light on at night it shines through the translucent panels, potential awakening your partner. A dark shade as they had in Thimphu would help. We had a comfortable bed, couch and desk area and there was good WiFi. The bathroom had both a tub and separate shower. We ate dinner and breakfast twice in the second floor dining room. At the end of our time in Bhutan we were tired of buffets. Certainly they offered to prepare whatever you want but the offerings weren’t the best. Breakfast was cooked to order, and the fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. All in all an excellent hotel for western tourists. Hotels of this caliber are super expensive in Bhutan. You won’t find Bhutanese staying here.
