The room featured a lovely Chinese-style decor and was spotlessly clean. The home-style breakfast was delicious and comforting. The host was exceptionally warm and friendly, offering very thoughtful service. When we were being driven to the station, I accidentally left my umbrella in the car. The host went out of their way to drive back and return it. We are truly grateful!

Conveniently located near the Temple of the City God, a major attraction in the ancient city. The host is incredibly warm-hearted and cultivated, offering pre-arranged train station pick-up and drop-off, which completely eliminates the stress of navigating. The guesthouse features a private courtyard, and the rooms are decorated with an old-world charm that perfectly matches the ancient city's character, yet they are equipped with all modern amenities. The massive kang bed was big enough for our family of three to comfortably sleep together. A simple Chinese-style breakfast of pastries was provided, and the host's recommendations for touring routes were incredibly helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

This summer, I traveled to Shanxi with my parents and children, and of course, we couldn't miss Pingyao Ancient City, a place teeming with rich cultural heritage. After extensively searching and comparing many places online, I discovered Aishang Lvke Inn had fantastic reviews and was very reasonably priced. What truly convinced me was that so many people raved about the steamed buns made by the lady there – we simply had to try them! So, I booked two rooms. Its central location within the ancient city made it incredibly convenient for visiting all the attractions. The owner was incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic. He personally picked us up from the station and eagerly shared his recommendations for the best food and fun activities in the ancient city. When it was time to leave, the owner was busy picking up other guests, so his father kindly drove us to the station. He was such a humorous and witty gentleman; I only wish we had more time to chat with him! We'll absolutely stay here again on our next trip to Pingyao. Highly recommend Aishang Lvke Inn!

Pingyao was the last stop on my trip with my little one, and we had a truly wonderful stay. The guesthouse host manages the place with such dedication and care. He called us a day in advance, arrived 10 minutes early at the pick-up point, provided a detailed map, and thoroughly explained the tourist routes to help us avoid any tourist traps. There were so many thoughtful details that really impressed us. I especially want to highlight the drop-off service at the station. Typically, hosts would just drop guests at the train station entrance. However, after dropping us off, the host saw my child and me struggling with a lot of luggage and having to climb multiple flights of stairs (as the Pingyao Ancient City train station entrance has no elevator). Although he had already driven off, he immediately rushed back to help us with our bags and stayed until we were safely inside the entrance. This act of kindness was truly heartwarming. The environment is great, and the location is absolutely perfect. A special thank you to the handsome young owner! He was so busy that he asked his father to pick us up, and then he personally dropped us off at the high-speed rail station when we departed. He also provided us with a map and recommended excellent sightseeing routes. My daughter absolutely loved the homemade pork buns and cold side dishes Auntie prepared for breakfast. The food at the owner's family restaurant was excellent, and Auntie was very generous, giving us a discount. My daughter even managed to get a travel photoshoot done right away at the owner's brother's studio, which was incredibly convenient.

The guesthouse boasts an excellent location right within Pingyao Ancient City. It's just a 5-minute walk to South Street and conveniently close to all the famous attractions. The owner was incredibly warm and attentive. Although the parking lot is located outside the ancient city, a dedicated staff member guides you, and the owner personally provides pick-up and drop-off services, so we experienced no inconvenience at all. Breakfast was a highlight – homemade steamed buns and rolls prepared by an 'auntie,' alongside millet porridge so perfectly cooked it formed a rich, thick layer on top. Simple, homely, but absolutely delicious. My only minor complaint is that when I booked, there were no other rooms available, so I ended up with a small room on the ground floor. It felt a bit cramped, and the facilities were quite basic, but considering the relatively low price, it was understandable. If you're planning a stay, I'd definitely recommend opting for a suite for a more comfortable experience! 😊
