"Great location. Very central. The hotel picked me up for free from the train station and helped with the luggage. What I didn’t like: Rather cold, as heating is only switched on in November. The staff barely spoke English. And I asked for laundry service but they didn’t have it and also didn’t offer to help with it. Overall, solid guesthouse but with some downsides."

"The B&B building is a historical building. You can visit the ancient city buildings, feel the ancient city architecture, and experience the daily life of Pingyao people. Lie down on the hard kang in the house to eliminate the fatigue of the day, make a pot of tea in the house, sit on the tea stool and think of the miniature of the TV series Qiao Family Courtyard. Climb up to the second floor to taste tea and drink, and feel the breeze on the outdoor middle corridor. It's like traveling back to ancient times, and I want to recite poems and paint. The hotel is very close to the famous restaurants in Pingyao Ancient City, Hongwu Ji, Tianyuan Kui, Zipei Ji, Niangjia Vinegar Shop, and Liang Xiansen Yogurt Shop. It is a very good location and very awesome. The owner of the shop is very enthusiastic and the service is in place. I will come again and experience it again! It's worth coming, family!"

"The B&B is really close to all the popular attractions. The owner is so thoughtful and welcoming, even arranging pick-up and helping with luggage. The room was spotless. They gave us a map and detailed recommendations for sightseeing and some great local eateries. They even left us a special tea blend that perfectly matched our room! Definitely five stars!"

"My stay at this hotel was wonderful. The room was absolutely beautiful and allowed me to experience the authentic atmosphere of traditional China. It was thoughtfully divided into a living area and a sleeping area, making it both spacious and comfortable. The elegant furniture, decorations, and sculptures added a unique charm to the room. The bathroom was excellent as well, featuring both a bathtub and a separate shower. The staff at the reception spoke English very well, making communication easy throughout my stay. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the main attractions of beautiful Pingyao. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and authentic stay in the heart of the city."

"I loved my stay at this hotel. It’s very conveniently located at the heart of the old town with a nice old-style courtyard. My room was big with high ceiling, clean, modern and comfortable. The hotel is run by a young couple, who were super friendly, welcoming and helpful. They came to pick me up from the station and helped me book a private driver to go to Mianshan the next day. They spoke a bit of English and even with my bad Chinese we were able to communicate fine! Since it was low season, the boss even offered me to pick a bigger room than the one I had booked. He also gave me food as a gift when I left. Many thanks again for your kindness!!"

"Friendly staff & wanted to help us in whatever way they could. Treated us to lunch & also took us to the train station on our departure day. Loved the heated toilet seat & automatic flushing toilet. Rooms were cleaned every day & towels changed out. Loved staying within the ancient city at this location to be within walking distance to everything."

"The hotel is very pictoresque in the ancient Pingyao city. They organized also transfer from/to railway station, very comfortable. Breakfast buffet (Chinese) was good. I think the best of the hotel is the location and room “ancient” style. I would recommend it for sure!"
