Beautiful little boutique hotel, location, just 2 minutes walk from 5th Avenue, the quieter end. Stunning views from rooftop infinity pool. Helpful, always smiling receptionists, lovely touch to have coffee/tea 24 hours and little pastries every morning.We did not use the bech club, we just used towels on the beach. Beautiful beach, soft sands, turquoise waters, cleaned by teams all day. Excellent rooms, bed, linen.We had seaviews. Only disappointment, my travel neck pillow was taken from my room, was very annoyed, as had tipped maid midweek! Made a very difficult nightflight home, so unneccessary, but amazing hotel, recommend.

-when you advertise parking in the facilities means you have a proper parking. What they had was a street parking and unless you find that single spot outside the hotel, which it’s covered by the camera, then your car isn’t safe. -The location was not walking distance to downtown with shops and restaurants so unless you have a car be prepared to walk 3-4kms. -On the check in we were asked to give our credit card details in case of any damage. Although states that you need a Credit Card, there was no guarantee of not charging you anything later as it was nowhere written in a paper or anything. You just have to give your card number and details. -On first afternoon I explained to the lady that our room is extremely noisy and we need to rest as recovering from illness and she just waived her head with irony and no solution. Eventually we were offered another room, on the same floor, so same noise, for 500MX extra. Her attitude was unacceptable. -The bed in our room was broken. It was leaning on the side and made it very uncomfortable to sleep or even sit down. -On booking I received 8 emails!!! And 2 WhatsApp messages stating to reply to the message in case we need something. When I messaged them saying we have not been able to sleep till 1am due to noise and we were waking up at 5:3am, nobody reply, nor even bothered to open the messages. -the neighbour feels very unsafe and dodgy.

Wow this hotel is AMAZING. SO many hotels are over priced in Playa del Carmen but this is new, great service, good price and just perfect. Don't stay anywhere else. Really nice new rooms, beautiful balcony at the top, deep comfy beds, good shower and water pressure. Free water at the reception. This really is a luxury hotel at a mid range price. Say hello to them for me!

We stayed there only one night, good for/impressed for: - swimming in the sea (beachclub access for free) - great rooftop for relaxing and rooftop pool (great sunrise view above cozumel) - Hotel personnel was always available and very friendly, very good english - free coffee and water in the lobby (great after a hot day in mexico) - cheap mini fridge drinks To improve: - a breakfast possibility, there is limited space, maybe on rooftop or delivery to door? - wobbly water pipe in the bathroom,

As it was my first visit in Mexico, I’m SO happy I choose Balkon over any large resort or chain hotel. I have zero complaints. It was very clean, comfy, but what made it the best was all of the front desk staff. Special shout out to Tatiana for being super helpful and friendly whenever we needed recommendations and transportation. Two restaurants down there’s this quaint restaurant with the best homemade food. If you prefer not to walk to the center it’s about 120 pesos for a taxi, which isn’t bad at all. Balkon is the right choice for your next stay. I’m very sad to leave but happy I came.

It is a place that offers more than what is seen, the rooms are new with an excellent first class decoration, excellent location of the areas of interest, the 5th avenue and public beaches, a highly recommended place
