Mercearia da Vila is a delightful place, full of warmth and history and ease. Mr. Melo greeted me by name upon arrival, and went out of his way to be sure our rented motorcycle was parked safely and securely. He provided an excellent dinner recommendation, didn't balk when we locked ourselves out, and he treated us to a breakfast feast replete with an interesting, informative conversation about the amazing artifacts that line the main room. Such a sweet man and such a sweet place, not to mention a lovely comfortable room!

Incredibly beautiful place. a period delicatessen transformed into a tasteful resort with attached local for flying. All wonderful, the owner, the refinement of details, the divine breakfast with gourmet products

Centrally located and family run with care and attention . A lovely town with quant old streets and many bars and restaurants nearby . Rooms are clean with good air conditioning. Close to the river and bridge to get to the gardens and open air swimming pool .

Was a bit disappointed when we arrived as the reception was dark. However we had a lovely room with 3 patio windows overlooking the church and the pedestrian street. The shower was good and the room was quiet. The breakfast was very good. Lots of choice and good quality. The reception lady was very kind and courteous.

We stayed here while walking the Portuguese Camino, we could not have been made to feel more welcome from the time we arrived, very hot from a days walking and being offered chilled water and homemade biscuits ( delicious) to the time we left when we were given more biscuits and supplies for our days walking. The hotel is very central, clean and the decor in keeping with its heritage. Thank you both

This place is amazing! It’s situated in the middle of town close to everything. It’s family operated and the owners are super friendly and told the story of the place when we arrived. The rooms are really nice and the breakfast is amazing. Highly recommended!

Central. Maravilhosa. Uma delícia. Ficámos, um casal com filha de 11 anos, num quarto muito bonito e confortável, com ar condicionado, casa de banho com água super quentinha (em Dezembro de 2022), o pequeno almoço muito agradável e saboroso. A grande surpresa, foi realmente à chegada e onde tomamos o pequeno almoço que está igual à antiga mercearia de família: tão bem decorada com tudo o que faz parte da história da casa. Continua a ser uma casa que pertence à família o que torna tudo ainda mais interessante. O proprietário, um professor de matemática, que fez o check-in, é um homem muito generoso e de uma calma maravilhosa, que até se prontificou a uma explicação à nossa filha desta matéria numa duvida que a mesma tinha. Adorámos Ponte de Lima. Recomendo vivamente.
