Best hotel I have stayed in as part of a coach tour. Room was spotless, meals and service were excellent. Lovely grounds to this hotel and in a lovely quaint village. Would have been 5 stars but the room was very basic and housekeeping could have been better.

Went with school, pretty average hotel a good place for a good nights sleep, sits on it’s own ground so very quite, if sleeping on top floor be careful not to your head on the curved roof. Toilets have locks, showers don’t , actual door to room locks fine.

I hated it and I got ants in my pants, spiders in my food, especially fruit and veg. I threw up 20 times, I found a fly in my bed and there was blood all over the walls and unknown substances on the door handles

Reception was very pleasant, but room was bland and cold. Room requires thermostat on radiator - when turned on it heated the room well but then needed to be turned off before the room got too hot. Room needs decoration such as pictures on wall - bland white walls. King bed was two singles pushed together and a sheet over the top. We arrived in the dark and it was raining. Carpark is not lit well and I nearly drove into the fishpond! Saving feature was the restaurant food, which was excellent (dinner - set menu and breakfast buffet).

I went on a school trip and the hotel was alright I stayed on the top floor with the angled ceiling and it was warmer in the room than outside. Food was minging The lock to the bathroom didn't work But in the end it's alright

This is an excellent hotel, especially convenient for a first or last night before boarding the ferry. The ground floor has been expensively restored and improved and, together with the grounds, are a great place to visit. The food is excellent, a good breakfast is included, and the optional dinner we had was superb, with great food and extremely generous portions. The rooms, however, leave something to be desired. They are clean but dark and cheaply furnished and the decor very plain, more what one would expect in a dormitory. For a one night stop over, its fine, but I would not want to stay longer, which is a pity as everything else is fine and the staff are very attentive.

Stayed 4 nights on a Leger Battlefield tour. We received a very warm welcome from all the staff at this friendly family run hotel. Apparently they haven't had a coach stay for 2 and a half years and were overjoyed to see one returning. The hotel is set in pleasant grounds. Free Wi-fi works well. Hairdryer supplied and a Kettle tray with Tea/Coffee etc is available on request. Breakfast spread was a little limited with not much cereal selection. It was Corn Flakes and Muesli. However there was a good selection of different Breads and Rolls. The set menu for Dinner was very good value at €29 for 3 courses very tasty and large portions. There is a great selection of Belgian beers in bottles and one draught option. I did try to work my way down the list and wish I had a longer stay to complete the task! Onto the bad points which lead to a 4 rather than 5 star rating. The walls were paper thin, we could hear everything going on in the adjacent rooms. at one point we actually thought the man next next door was in our bathroom! The shower arrangement is not very good and the bath is very slippery which made it precarious to get in and out safely. We did ask for a Bath mat which the hotel were happy to supply but it didn't work very well. Finally the radiator was very noisy when we flushed the toilet or ran the taps. However we did enjoy our stay and would love to visit again.

Mixed feelings about this hotel. Sits in its own grounds in the sleepy Belgium town of Lo. Building has bags of character and is in a nice setting - its a converted brewery next to the town church. The restaurant is quite big - the usual continental breakfast BUT the evening meals here are very good - very good indeed. This is only spoilt by the number of flies buzzing around the place - they really should do something about that. My room was small with a sloping wall - very spartan - no air con - window had an insect mesh over it so I could air the room. Bathroom had a bath with a shower attachment. My room was not adequately cleaned - bed made so to speak but the bathroom left as it is. Others complained about this too - I heard them in the bar. Also, the hotel has a wing for parties of school children - they were rowdy early evening.
