Booked in and had to cancel straight away as I couldn’t take my dogs into park. In the meantime I’d paid by eftpos the amount of $70. The gentleman refunded straight away but when I checked a few days later only $48 was refunded. I contacted the park and told them about discrepancy and they told me the difference would be refunded. Still hadn’t seen it appear in my account and was told could take up to 10 working days. Well it’s well over a month and still haven’t be refunded and I’ve given up chasing them for it. They can keep the money but I wouldn’t recommend them.

It’s a large park not too far from Macrossan Street, Port Douglas’s main drag with all the shops and restaurants. Marina and beach close by too. Plenty of powered and un-powered sites, some cabins, a pool, camp kitchen and lots of trees. Amenities looking very tired, old fashioned with peeling paint. Desperately need an upgrade. Laundry has old washing machines and clothes dryers with some not working. However, the new managers and two great long serving staff plus other staff are doing their best to cope with a sinking ship. Apparently, the park is going to be re-developed as a resort but no one seems to know when. Hence no funds for needed repairs and renovations. Very sad, as it has been a great park over the years, always popular but didn’t seem so popular when we were there. Come on park owners, spend a few bucks so campers can have a good experience.

Great campsite with good amenities, location spot on about a 20 min walk to town which you can do a number of ways, along the beach, along the main road or cut through the streets Nice and quiet pleasant pool area. Staff are all very welcoming, smiling and saying good morning etc, makes my day if the interactions are pleasant.

Was grateful these guys gave me a unit to myself and accommodated me with physical disabilities, such a nice place with clean facilities, beautiful pool area and a happy vibe all round. The owners are super friendly and have a wide array of knowledge when it comes to travelling around Oz, was pretty cool to be able to connect with people that have experienced so much in this profession. Thanks guys, hope this venture will blossom into something big, keep up the good work

I loved staying at Pandanus and this was a lot to do with the kind and helpful service provided by Scott and Helen. We have stayed in a lot of caravan parks in Australia and this park is by far the friendliest. I highly recommend Pandanus. The sites are spacious, shady and well maintained.

It’s been the worst experience we’ve ever had during our stay in Australia. They’ve been ruude and r - cist since the very first moment we checked in. The blonde lady has been nothing but rude, making r - cist comments against “South America” and treating us like the worst when we did nothing but being respectful with them, the amenities and the other customers. Backpackers please don’t stay here!! We’re not welcome in this terrible place :(

15 - 20 minute walk to main *****. Helpful staff. Showers and toilets a little tired. A little expensive ($45) for the standard of the site but I guess you pay for location. Kitchen and laundry facilities on site but we didn’t use them. We didn’t book ahead but plenty of room on site (February).

One of the most expensive places I stayed in, and while the camp kitchen was pretty well set up, the amenities weren't the best (cramped and not as clean as I would like). It was also a bit noisy in the afternoon with kids screaming, but that's a reflection on the people visiting at the same time as me rather than the park.
