"I don’t normally write reviews but I’ve made an exception in this case. I’ve spent the last four weeks travelling up the East Coast, so I’m well used to hostels — but this experience was unlike any other, and not for the right reasons. The location was great, kitchen appeared clean and the pool area was clean and pleasant (apart from the ashtrays everywhere). However, the rest of my experience was very disappointing. I arrived before check-in and was told I could wait by the pool, which was fine as I was quite early, but the female bathrooms were out of order. When I asked at reception if there were any alternatives, the staff member told me to “just use the men’s” and to close the door behind me. As a female solo traveller, I felt really uncomfortable, and he didn’t seem to care or offer another solution. When I finally checked in, my room was shared with long-term residents — it was messy, dirty, and clearly hadn’t been cleaned. I couldn’t tell which bed was unoccupied as their stuff was absolutely everywhere. When I asked about switching rooms, I was told that “all of the guests live here” and the receptionist was rude and dismissive. The lack of hospitality and care from staff made the whole experience even worse. I felt so uncomfortable that I ended up in tears, and even then, the receptionist saw me and walked straight past without saying a word. The complete lack of empathy or hospitality was shocking. I ended up booking alternative accommodation and did not stay here. If you’re looking for a short-term stay or travelling solo, I’d strongly recommend avoiding this place."

"This is the first time I have written a bad review in my 30-plus years of traveling. First of all, the information is poor. It clearly states that there is 1 large bed and 2 single beds. In the end, there were 2 double beds. And there were only two thin blankets. There was only 1 small bottle of shampoo, 1 small bottle of conditioner and 1 small bottle of shower gel for 4 people. The hotel's office hours are clearly until 5 o'clock. When I arrived at 4:51, the office was locked and no one was there. This lazy method is unique. After countless communications, it was fruitless. Although the Ctrip platform also intervened, it was all in vain. It was said that only after 8:30 the next day, employees would come to work to help change and replenish hotel supplies. After enduring a night, one of my friends caught a cold. The next morning, the staff finally came late and slowly opened the door to work. After explaining the situation, we were told that it would cost AUD 40 for an extra blanket. Other supplements would be charged one by one. We could not ask for other supplies, but it was unreasonable to have to pay on the spot for an extra blanket. The worst thing is that they insulted me with words. Did they think I couldn't understand English? After all, I have 2 degrees from an Australian university. Don't I know these discriminatory words? I sought support from Ctrip again. I really should praise Ctrip for trying to communicate with us, but Ctrip also hit a wall. They had no choice but to compensate us for the room fee for that day. We really couldn't continue to stay, so we rented another hotel. I didn't expect that the service of this hotel was the worst I had ever encountered in Europe, America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. In addition, the equipment was old and the hygiene was controversial, especially the towels were yellowed. You must not stay in this particularly bad hotel. The experience was too bad, ruining all the itineraries and moods."

"The moment you enter through the main gate of Escape Villas , you know it going to be amazing. The gardens are stunning with red cane palms throughout and beautifully maintained gardens leading up to your villa. We reached our villa (19) with clear easy to follow instructions on how to check in using keyless entry. Once we opened the gate, we stepped into a beautiful entranceway with a lush green garden complete with small inground fish pond. We could see before coming through the front door that it was STUNNING! Neutral colours and décor with the very high ceilings made it all so inviting. This was beyond our expectations :-)Looking through the lounge and dining you step out to a small cost outdoor area complete with your own pool looking directly onto an equally impressive golf course covered along the edge in bright beautiful bougainvillea's. The kitchen is so well stocked with everything you cold need an modern first class appliances. A super comfortable double bedroom with separate bathroom well equipped with luxury toiletries. You really don't need to bother bringing all that with you as its all provided and lovely to use. Upstairs is 2 separate bedrooms with their own ensuites. The master bedroom is enormous as is the ensuite. The beds are very comfortable and again the ensuite is well stocked. There is a fully stocked laundry with washer and drier. Laundry products provided. Staying here has been luxurious and beyond anything we thought it would be. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking at staying. Go ahead an treat yourself......you won't regret your decision."
